«Anti-behavior», archaic and mythological elements in the religiousness of the sectarian communities of the late XIX–early XX century Ukraine

Abstract

The article analyzes the archaic and mythological elements in the sectarian religious communities of the late XIX early XX century Ukraine. The author concludes that the religious experience of the Ukrainian sectarianism clearly expressed such elements as ontological dualism, antіpersonalism, allegorical hermeneutics, antihistoricism, antibehavior, gender totalization, carnival spirit and others.
