Abstract
Announcement has been made of the forthcoming Interamerican Congress of Philosophy to be held in San Jose, Costa Rica in July 1961. The Status of Ontology in Present-day Philosophical Discussions will be discussed in the plenary session. Sectional meetings will be held on the philosophy of science, political philosophy, and the history of philosophy, which will devote a special session to the philosophy of Whitehead. There will also be sessions on the teaching of philosophy. Papers must be submitted before April 1, 1961. The fee for delegates who participate in the congress will be $10.00. Each active delegate may present two papers. The official languages of the congress will be Spanish, English, Portuguese, and French.
