Abstract
The author challenges Levinas’s postulate of the equivalence between the Same and Being in Heidegger’s thought in order to recast more radically the relationship to the Other and thus lay the foundations of an “original ethic ”. According to the author, the ethical responsibility is inscribed in the very essence of Dasein, which cannot be defined from the perspective of an egology, as Lévinas seems to have done in spite of himself.
