    The (Im)mediate Body: A Transvaluation of Corporeality.Susan Broadhurst - 1999 - Body and Society 5 (1):17-29.
    This article argues that language without the body does not `mean' at all; corporeality provides language with meaning under socio-cultural constraints. Traditional ways of interpretation have been dominated by the transference of linguistic interpretation to the non-linguistic. At the same time, traditional linguistically focused interpretation is heavily laden with orthodox value systems. This makes the body a secondary phenomenon.
