Disability is one of the key public health issues in India and the burden will increase given the trend of an aging population. People with disabilities experience greater vulnerability as they may develop secondary health issues. They face various barriers while accessing health services. This is a major ethical concern. In this article, we frame the barriers to healthcare provision to persons with disabilities and propose an ethical framework to address these barriers. This ethical framework is derived from the basic (...) ethical principles of justice, fairness, trust, solidarity, stewardship, proportionality, and responsiveness. Naga Tribal communities residing in rural Nagaland are deprived of access to adequate health care services, livelihood opportunities, road connectivity, sanitation and education. About 71.14 percent of Naga Tribes inhabit rural areas; most of these tribal communities are engaged in agriculture and allied activities for livelihood. The absence of adequate road network suitable for all weather, public transportation system, and high cost of transportation fares hinder the mobility of the tribal communities in the rural areas. The confinement of development to (...) the urban areas has led to interdistrict disparities and dearth of basic facilities in the rural communities. This study intends to portray the socio-economic status of the Naga Tribal communities in rural areas. The study will identify infrastructural challenges of the Naga tribal communities. Descriptive Research Design have been adopted and the study includes only secondary data. The Survey method was used in the analysis of the collected secondary data. The implementation of inclusive development has become an urgent need, in order to provide basic infrastructures with equity to the Naga tribal community in rural Nagaland. The study will show how achieving inclusive development can contribute to the realization of Sustainable Development Goals at the national and global level. Resumen Los textos televisivos interpretan y analizan la realidad circundante e influyen en la visión que la audiencia tiene del mundo. Es más, los programas cómicos basados en la burla y el sarcasmo hacia grupos étnicos minoritarios refuerzan estereotipos negativos y promueven la discriminación cultural. En este artículo se estudia el humor étnico en La paisana Jacinta. Esta serie peruana ha sido acusada de racista por diversas personas y grupos, entre ellos, la excongresista indígena Hilaria Supa, LUNDU y CHIRAPAQ. (...) Primero, se analizan las estrategias pragmático-lingüísticas empleadas en la construcción del humor étnico en una selección de diálogos y monólogos de Jacinta, el personaje principal de la serie. Para ello, se utiliza la Teoría General del Humor Verbal. Asimismo, dado que todo texto es multimodal, se tiene también en cuenta cómo imágenes, gestos, y elementos musicales y prosódicos en la serie contribuyen en la producción de la comicidad. Finalmente, a partir de estos resultados, se examina el contenido cómico del programa desde una perspectiva crítica para determinar si este es discriminatorio. (shrink)
