Background: The COVID-19 pandemic has changed the way we conduct daily life, as well as sports training and sports competitions. Given the stress produced by COVID-19, and the “bubble” safety measures for the World Sambo Championship, held in Novi Sad, from the 6th to the 8th of November, 2020, athletes might have experienced more stress than athletes normally would in non-pandemic conditions. Therefore, the current study aimed to create a psychological profile of sambo athletes participating in the Sambo World Championship (...) and living in this condition.Methods: One-hundred-fifteen participants took part in the study, completing the Profile of Mood Scale, the Pittsburg Sleep Quality Index, the Perceived Stress Scale, and the Fear of COVID-19 Scale. A mediation model with Fear of COVID-19 predicting both stress level directly and stress level through mood disturbance was hypothesized. Gender differences were evaluated through t-test.Results: The results showed that the sample presented higher levels of stress but no problems in sleeping. In particular, data analysis confirmed an indirect effect of Fear of COVID on Perceived stress through mood disturbance, but did not have a significant impact on the direct effect. Gender differences emerged in the perceived stress level and daytime dysfunction where females scored higher than males for both aspects.Conclusion: The athletes participating to the World Sambo Championship experienced stress levels determined by the mood disturbance produced by the fear of the COVID-19 pandemic. Female athletes were more stressed and showed higher daytime dysfunction. The findings of the current study are useful to understand the psychological profile of the athletes competing in the “bubble” conditions during COVID-19 pandemic. (shrink)

Approaches to the “Indian Issue” which fail to go beyond the mere charting of evolutions in legal norms or the articulation between neoliberalism and multiculturalism do not allow us to take the full measure of indigenous policies, in terms of the goal set for the enlargement of the spaces for public interpellation and the reconfiguration of ideas and practices pertaining to citizenship. Starting from the Argentine experience, the aim of this article is to examine the question of the sedimentation of (...) neoliberal procedures, in a context marked by the will to re-appropriate national and popular sovereignty over territories and resources. The Indian question thus poses both the problem of the model of development that has been adopted and the question of the characterizing of the pleb (the category of the popular, or of those most underprivileged) as a part of the populus, that is, as part of the people of the nation, and therefore of the demos, understood as the space open to those who can legitimately give form and content to populus and who can put words on the world. Die Untersuchung des unbedingten Grundsatzes der Erkenntnis ist - in Verbindung mit den Begriffen des Bewusstseins, der Anschauung und des Unendlichen - der Kern des Deutschen Idealismus von Fichte, Schelling und Hegel. Nach Fichte muss man das absolut erste und unbedingte Prinzip des gesamten menschlichen Wissens aufsuchen, damit die Philosophie tatsachlich Wissenschaft der Wissenschaft oder Wissenschaftslehre sein kann. Daher rekonstruiert der Autor zunachst Fichtes kritisch gegen Kant gerichtete Radikalisierung des Konzepts der Subjektivitat und die Uberschreitung der Grenze zur intellektuellen Anschauung. (...) Im zweiten Teil werden dann neue Perspektiven in der Analyse von Schellings Idealismus vorgeschlagen: Vor dem Hintergrund einer Analyse der intellektuellen, der asthetischen und der produktiven Anschauung bei Schelling wird das Verhaltnis zwischen Naturphilosophie und Transzendentalphilosophie behandelt. Im dritten Teil des Buches werden Hegels Kritik an Fichte und Schelling sowie an Kant (in der Enzyklopadie) und schliesslich die Bedeutung der Begriffe des Selbstbewusstseins und des Unendlichen vom transzendentalen Idealismus bis hin zu Hegels absolutem Idealismus untersucht. Der Kulminationspunkt ist dabei die alle Bereiche der theoretischen Philosophie durchziehende Wechselbeziehung zwischen dem Endlichen und dem Unendlichen. (shrink)

La crisis económica hace más difícil la transición a la vida adulta. Ni siquiera los jóvenes universitarios están a salvo de la precariedad laboral. Hemos entrevistados a veinte españoles entre 20 y 30 años, con títulos académicos y con trabajos precarios para saber cómo la coyuntura actual influye en sus posibilidades de independencia. A través de sus posicionamientos interpretativos, describimos la crisis como trampa, obstáculo o desafío. La alteración de su emancipación es un reflejo de los problemas de relevo generacional (...) y de promoción social que las familias de clase media están experimentando en nuestro país en los últimos años.The economic crisis has increased the difficulty of the transition to adulthood. Neither young people with academic degrees can avoid employment instability. We interviewed twenty Spanish young-adults between 20 and 30 years old, with bachelor degrees and precarious jobs in order to know how the current economic downturn is influencing their possibility of independence. According to their interpretative perspectives, we describe the crisis as a trap, as an obstacle or as a challenge. The changes of their emancipation patterns are the spitting images of those problems related to generational replacement and social promotion that Spanish middle-class families have been experimenting during the last years.
