Abstract

Throughout history, 'head transplant' operation has been tested several times on animals; but a positive result has not been achieved. In 2015, it was first put forward by Sergio Canavero with the claim that 'it will be applied on living human'; but it was carried out on a dead donor in 2017. In this article, it is aimed to evaluate the debates that brought the claim of live-in-head transplantation and the discussions made by the exact opposite of this claim in terms of medical ethics.
