Abstract

A three-volume collection of the Aberdonian philosopher and theologian's lectures, sermons and dissertations. Campbell is probably most famous for his Philosophy of Rhetoric (available in British Rhetoric in the Eighteenth Century), and was a very active member of the Scottish philosophy and theology scene, corresponding and disagreeing with both Reid and Hume. This set includes selections on philosophy and theology including Ecclesiastical History, and the last volume being devoted to the Dissertation on Miracles with contemporary responses.
