Abstract

The following article addresses Heidegger’s considerations on tradition and philosophical legacy in two fundamental periods of his thought. I seek to demonstrate that the notion of tradition is articulated in different ways in the Sein und Zeit period and in his post-Kehre considerations. I show irreducible connections that manifest this understanding with his considerations on language and temporal dynamics. For this purpose, firstly, I analyze the destructive strategies that Heidegger deploys during the former period within the framework of his considerations on history. Secondly, I address his ideas on metaphysics and their consequences in works published after 1930. Finally, I distinguish some links with his ideas on language.
