Abstract

The authors reflect on the proposal of the ethos behind the relationship between all humans rooted on Care. In this sense, summon two authors and two works of classical antiquity, that is, the famous Fable attributed to Hyginus and the well-known Sophocles' tragedy Philoctetes. In light of these two literary pieces and of their immanent values they ground the recent coined "Ethics of Care", as ontological paradigm and universal destination, on the protection of the human person
