On American Economic Diplomacy toward Europe during the Two World Wars Period by Government-central Realism Theory

Abstract

Government-centered realism realist theory as an important part, stressed that the domestic U.S. foreign origin, as a new perspective on U.S. foreign policy, between the two world wars, the U.S. diplomatic isolationism showing more non-isolated characteristics, the United States actively participate in a post-war reconstruction of Europe. But precisely because of the domestic game between the various interest groups, the separation of powers between Congress and the President so that the two wars between the United States Foreign showing fragmentation, contradictions and conflicts between the characteristics, and finally to the United States of Europe's economic diplomacy tragedy. As an important part of realism theory, government-central realism focuses on internal factors of American diplomacy. As a new perspective of study American diplomacy, it discovered that American isolationism policy seemed to be non-isolated since America took actively part in European reconstruction after the 1st World War. However, it was failed because of the political struggles and games among various interest groups, and power segregation between the Congress and the President which led to controversial and segmental foreign policies, and finally to failure of American economic diplomacy toward Europe
