Abstract

The most important Foucault’s heritage is in the way he used to practise philosophy, not as a search for universal truth, but as an exercise of criticism. The philosopher is guided by the words Sapere Aude!, an incitation to use criticism to unmask the historical power’s mechanisms that condition our life. An idea of philosophy linked with political militancy that suggest to the intellectuals the necessity of social engagement and the courage to assume originals and arbitrary positions
