Abstract

This dissertation offers soundness and completeness theorems for a free logic with identity which has an absolute probabilistic semantics. Free logic is an alternative to classical logic and probabilistic semantics is an alternative to the standard referential semantics usually offered for free logics. The first chapter is devoted to establishing the project in the history of free logic and probabilistic semantics. It is suggested that a desirable fit may result from outfitting a free logic with a probabilistic semantics
