Abstract
DAN CAVEDON-TAYLOR is nearing the completion of his PhD at Birkbeck College on the epistemic value of photographs. He is the inaugural recipient of the British Society of Aesthetics’ PhD Studentship and currently holds a Jacobsen Fellowship from the Royal Institute of Philosophy. His papers have appeared in The Philosophical Quarterly, Ratio, The Journal of Aesthetics and Art Criticism, and Philosophia.JAMES GRANT is Departmental Lecturer in Philosophy at the University of Oxford, and is based at The Queen's College. His interests include ethics, the philosophy of language, and aesthetics. His current work is on the nature of criticism and the role of imaginativeness and metaphor in it.ALICIA LUBOWSKI-JAHN holds a PhD in art history from the Institute of Fine Arts, New York University. She has worked for various museums, including the Philadelphia Museum of Art and The Frick Collection. In addition to her ongoing curatorial work in art history, she covers contemporary eco art and sustainable design for online media.
