Abstract

The main intention of the author was to take part in a discussion on quality of life, which is an important topic. As it was pointed out in the introduction, quality of life category is omnipresent in social, medical and other disciplines that are related to human existence. There are many reasons why it takes such an honorable place in the research, considerations and discussions. One of the main ones is undoubtedly the fact that, as J. Czapinski states, it is the main premise of purposeful human activity. Also, as the concept of quality of life refers to many aspects of individual’s life, it is deeply embedded in its consciousness. In spite of big interest in quality of life both in scientific and practical fields, the term is seen as continuously evolving concept, which is also becoming more and more diverse. It is understandable, though, when one realizes how complex the key concepts are and how undetermined the related constructs are.
