Previous chapter Rhythm in Music – Aristoxenus' Elements of Rhythmics The Ῥυθμικὰ στοιχεῖα – Elementa rhythmica – Elements of Rhythmics were probably not the first book ever written on mucial rhythm in the West but certainly the first that has been preserved at least partly.
