Abstract

L’espace social contemporain n’est pas lisse et ouvert comme le chantent les promoteurs de la mobilité généralisée et de la télécommunication sans entraves. Partout, des frontières, des murs, des limites se dressent, certaines anciennes et réactivées, d’autres nouvelles et d’un genre inédit. Dans ce contexte, les individus connaissent de plus en plus l’épreuve du franchissement. Cet article examine cette question en proposant un nouveau concept, la transspatialité, et en cernant les implications politiques de la généralisation des contraintes d’accès.The contemporary social sphere is not the smooth, open space vaunted by those who sing the praises of telecommunications without borders and mobility for all. Borders, boundaries, barriers and limits are appearing everywhere, sometimes in older reactivated forms, sometimes in new and previously unknown ways. In this context, individuals are increasingly faced with the test of crossing boundaries.
