Contradiction and ambiguity of graffiti

Abstract

The social philosophy aspect of graffiti as communication in social networks is considered. The contradictory ontology of the phenomenon disclosed in representation of meaning and destruction of space. Graffiti problematized as dialog and anonymity, as an attempt to overcome contradiction of utilitarian and aesthetic, as deviant practices and aesthetic activities, as a language of subculture and public incomprehensible language. The functions of graffiti are offered.
