Abstract
In this dissertation, I trace Wittgenstein's formulations and re-formulations of solipsism throughout his philosophy. Through this tracing, I expose the engaging and transforming character of Wittgenstein's writing. Specifically, I argue that Wittgenstein's early texts represent an attempt to collapse representational space and allow for a "mystical" experience and that his later texts disclose, complicate, and re-situate the conditions of this collapse. Solipsism is analogized to song or poetry in this re-description
