Platón, política cultural, y destierro de los poetas
Abstract
The well-known position of Plato to exile the poets of the ideal city not only is a critic to the artistic activity, but a proposal of which today we denominated public cultural policy. Plato grants to the art a great potential educative, but negative. For that reason it rejects it, aside from granting little value to him to the being a this one «imitation of an imitation». In his theory a moral vision predominates -the one that later Aristotle will criticize- it consider this activity like detrimental for the intellectual health of the society. The metaphorical expulsion is an hygienic act for the cultural deepening of this ideal city. Only from this approach we can discuss this point of view
