Stuart Mill : la utilidad de la religión en su 140º aniversario

Abstract

El presente trabajo pretende ser una revisión al ensayo filosófico de John Stuart Mill titulado La Utilidad de la Religión, conectado con sus Tres Ensayos sobre Religión, cuando se cumplen 140 años de su publicación. Se trata de releer los aspectos más importantes que acometió Mill en este ensayo desde nuestra época, para comprobar cómo algunos aún siguen siendo de actualidad. Son cuestiones, por tanto, abiertas y que exigen reflexión en nuestros días. Entre otros aspectos cabe citar: felicidad, religión, bienestar general, cristianismo. This work tries being a review about the philosophycal essay of John Stuart Mill The Utility of Religion, linked to Three Essays on Religion, which was published 140 years ago. It is treated of reviewing the most important aspects which were treated by Stuart Mill in this essay. This review is made from our age for testing the fact related to several issues treated by Mill at that moment. These aspects nowadays are current, and also those issues are debated currently. Among those problems we can note hapinness, religion, welfare, cristianism.
