Abstract
The ratios of the constituents of social morals and the prevalence of corruption in the society have been discussed in the article. As a result, the following main conclusions of the research have been made. It has been pointed out by the author that corruption is a kind of institutionally-organized deviations, which are aimed at causing all kinds of damage both against the individual citizen or organization, and against the society and the state It is done by the disregard of social and regulatory control by subjects of economical, political, disciplinary and educational authorities. It has been stated that in some studies the corruption is seen as a complex of social facts or a form of social deviation; some economic and sociological researches are focused on corrupt and rent relations and the economic rationality of subjects of corruption. A certain number of researchers brings the definition of corruption to its law component, actually identifying it with bribery and abuse of the official position for personal selfish purposes. Several groups of definitions of corruption have been identified in the article: corruption as the use of their official position by an official, who dispose another’s resources in order to achieve personal goals and their own material enrichment; corruption as a kind of black market of goods and services, where there are, the laws of supply and demand, and constantly fulfilled transactions between different subjects; corruption as a strategy of behavior of the two social groups – representatives of the government and private businesses or citizens.
