Abstract

ספר זה עוסק בעיקר בשני פילוסופים יהודים: הרמבם ור' אברהם ביבגו. המחבר, פרופסור אברהם נוריאל זל, פיתח שיטה חדשה לפיענוח הסודות של 'מורה נבוכים' לרמבם. שיטה זו, המבוססת על בדיקה מדויקת של מונחי מפתח בספר, חוללה מהפכה בחקר הרמבם. בספר זה נוריאל משתמש בשיטה הנל כדי לברר את דעתו האזוטרית 'האמתית' של הרמבם בנושאים כגון בריאת העולם, השגחה ואמונה. במחקריו על ביבגו נוריאל מציג בפני הקורא פילוסוף עצמאי מרתק, בקי בפילוסופיה היהודית, הנוצרית והאסלאמית, שפעל בדור האחרון לפני גירוש ספרד.
