Abstract
There is arguably no region of the world that has been the object of more intellectual contempt, intellectual derision, and intellectual disregard than Africa. Scholars have long documented the dark, dreary, pernicious, and primitive “Africanism” some argue has been a defining pillar of philosophizing, literature, criticism, and historiography in the North Atlantic for a long time.
