Abstract

Fakhr al-Din al-Razi (b. 544/1149, d. 606/1209), the celebrated scholar of the 6th century AH, was famous throughout the Muslim world as a philosopher, theologian and exegetist. Despite this undisputed eminence, his contribution to Islamic thought has not yet been properly evaluated.
