Immanent Reasoning or Equality in Action: A Plaidoyer for the Play Level.Nicolas Clerbout, Ansten Klev, Zoe McConaughey & Shahid Rahman - 2018 - Cham, Switzerland: Springer Verlag.
This monograph proposes a new way of implementing interaction in logic. It also provides an elementary introduction to Constructive Type Theory. The authors equally emphasize basic ideas and finer technical details. In addition, many worked out exercises and examples will help readers to better understand the concepts under discussion. One of the chief ideas animating this study is that the dialogical understanding of definitional equality and its execution provide both a simple and a direct way of implementing the CTT approach (...)

Dialectic, the Dictum de Omni and Ecthesis.Michel Crubellier, Mathieu Marion, Zoe Mcconaughey & Shahid Rahman - 2019 - History and Philosophy of Logic 40 (3):207-233.
In this paper, we provide a detailed critical review of current approaches to ecthesis in Aristotle’s Prior Analytics, with a view to motivate a new approach, which builds upon previous work by Marion & Rückert (2016) on the dictum de omni. This approach sets Aristotle’s work within the context of dialectic and uses Lorenzen’s dialogical logic, hereby reframed with use of Martin-Löf's constructive type theory as ‘immanent reasoning’. We then provide rules of syllogistic for the latter, and provide proofs of (...)

Women’s Perspectives on Ancient and Medieval Philosophy.Isabelle Chouinard, Zoe McConaughey, Aline Medeiros Ramos & Roxane Noël (eds.) - 2021 - Cham, Switzerland: Springer.
This book promotes the research of present-day women working in ancient and medieval philosophy, with more than 60 women having contributed in some way to the volume in a fruitful collaboration. It contains 22 papers organized into ten distinct parts spanning the sixth century BCE to the fifteenth century CE. Each part has the same structure: it features, first, a paper which sets up the discussion, and then, one or two responses that open new perspectives and engage in further reflections. (...)

James G. Lennox, Aristotle on Inquiry. Erotetic Frameworks and Domain-Specifi.

    Is Church’s Picture of Frege a Good One?Zoé McConaughey - 2014 - Philosophia Scientiae 18:231-245.
Church has contributed a lot to the safeguard of G. Frege's theory of meaning after the discovery of antinomies in it. To achieve this he has adapted it by keeping parts, discarding others and adding new ones, most of which are clearly exposed in an informal way in the introduction to his Introduction to Mathematical Logic. As for any modification of a theory by another person, it is interesting to understand how the thoughts of the former survive in the new (...)

Le privilège de l'attribut Pensée dans l'Éthique de Spinoza.Zoé McConaughey - 2015 - Revista de Humanidades de Valparaíso 6:49-65.
The perplexities Spinoza's Ethics tends to produce in the reader–far from diminishing through repetition–tend to deepen as the text is read again and its understanding beomes keener. In this regard, one of the question that arises from meditations of E.II/7 concerns the possibility of knowing something that our body does not feel. Expounding on this problem and on a possible resolution will allow us to delve deeper in the machinery of Ethics II and bring out the core pedagogical structure at (...)

Aristotle's ategorical Syllogisms as Dialectical Games. Work in Progress.Shahid Rahman, Michel Crubellier & Zoe Mcconaughey - unknown
It is the introduction of book in Preparation on the links between Aristotle's Logic and his dialectics The main claim is that nowadays dialogical frame for logic provides the most accurate reconstruction of Arisotl'es general notion of logic.
