Robust Parametric Control of Lorenz System via State Feedback.Da-Ke Gu, Da-Wei Zhang & Yin-Dong Liu - 2020 - Complexity 2020:1-10.
This paper considers the parametric control to the Lorenz system by state feedback. Based on the solutions of the generalized Sylvester matrix equation, the unified explicit parametric expression of the state feedback gain matrix is proposed. The closed loop of the Lorenz system can be transformed into an arbitrary constant matrix with the desired eigenstructure. The freedom provided by the parametric control can be fully used to find a controller to satisfy the robustness criteria. A numerical simulation is developed to (...)

CEO Foreign Experience and Green Innovation: Evidence from China.Xiaofeng Quan, Yun Ke, Yuting Qian & Yao Zhang - 2021 - Journal of Business Ethics 182 (2):535-557.
We examine whether and how CEO foreign experience affects firm’s green innovation. Using a sample of Chinese public companies and hand-collected CEO foreign experience data, we document a positive association between CEO foreign experience and corporate green innovation. Furthermore, consistent with the view that CEOs with foreign experience would play a more significant role when provided with more resources, we find that the positive relationship is more pronounced in less financially constrained firms, in state-owned enterprises, and in less competitive industries. How to Identify Patterns of Citywide Dynamic Traffic at a Low Cost? An In-Depth Neural Network Approach with Digital Maps.Li Zhang, Ke Gong, Maozeng Xu, Aixing Li, Yuanxiang Dong & Yong Wang - 2021 - Complexity 2021:1-15.
The identification and analysis of the spatiotemporal dynamic traffic patterns in citywide road networks constitute a crucial process for complex traffic management and control. However, city-scale and synchronal traffic data pose challenges for such kind of quantification, especially during peak hours. Traditional studies rely on data from road-based detectors or multiple communication systems, which are limited in not only access but also coverage. To avoid these limitations, we introduce real-time, traffic condition digital maps as our input. The digital maps keep (...)

The formal indication is a key concept in Heidegger’s thought. But Heidegger’s discussion of the formal indication in the period after the “Kehre” has always received little attention, with the result that Heidegger’s late self-reflection on this method has not been brought into scholarly focus. Recent publications – especially volume 91 of the Martin Heidegger Gesamtausgabe, Ergänzungen und Denksplitter (published in 2022) and volume 102, Vorläufiges I-IV – now provide relatively accurate testimony to this self-reflection. For the first time, they (...)

This paper examines the concept of Rendaozhuyi in Late Qing and Early Republican China. Appearing as early as 1903, Rendaozhuyi is the Chinese rendering of both humanism and humanitarianism. For the Chinese intellectuals during the Late Qing and Early Republican period, “rendao” itself represented a modern value of humanity and human dignity. In the wake of the Great War, Rendaozhuyi gained tremendous popularity among the May-Fourth scholars. Some of them held it up as a universal ideal and tool to critique (...)
