Environmental Strategy, Institutional Force, and Innovation Capability: A Managerial Cognition Perspective.Defeng Yang, Aric Xu Wang, Kevin Zheng Zhou & Wei Jiang - 2019 - Journal of Business Ethics 159 (4):1147-1161.
Despite the rising interest in environmental strategies, few studies have examined how managerial cognition of such strategies influences actual innovation capability development. Taking a managerial cognition perspective, this study investigates how managers’ perceptions of institutional pressures relate to their focus on proactive environmental strategy, which in turn affects firms’ realized innovation capability. The findings from a primary survey and three secondary datasets of publicly listed companies in China reveal that managers’ perceived business and social pressures are positively associated with their (...)

Stakeholder Relationship Capability and Firm Innovation: A Contingent Analysis.Wei Jiang, Aric Xu Wang, Kevin Zheng Zhou & Chuang Zhang - 2020 - Journal of Business Ethics 167 (1):111-125.
Despite the growing importance of stakeholder management, few studies have empirically examined the influence of stakeholder relationship capability on firm innovation, especially in emerging economies. This study investigates how SRC relates to firm innovation in the presence of governmental intervention and in combination with firm-level characteristics. Using a survey and multiple secondary datasets on the listed Chinese firms, our findings indicate that SRC is positively associated with firm innovation. Moreover, advanced legal development and high-tech status strengthen the positive link between (...)

Altered Neuromagnetic Activity in Persistent Postural-Perceptual Dizziness: A Multifrequency Magnetoencephalography Study.Weiwei Jiang, Jintao Sun, Jing Xiang, Yulei Sun, Lu Tang, Ke Zhang, Qiqi Chen & Xiaoshan Wang - 2022 - Frontiers in Human Neuroscience 16.
ObjectiveThe aim of our study was to investigate abnormal changes in brain activity in patients with persistent postural-perceptual dizziness using magnetoencephalography.MethodsMagnetoencephalography recordings from 18 PPPD patients and 18 healthy controls were analyzed to determine the source of brain activity in seven frequency ranges using accumulated source imaging.ResultsOur study showed that significant changes in the patterns of localization in the temporal-parietal junction were observed at 1–4, 4–8, and 12–30 Hz in PPPD patients compared with healthy controls, and changes in the frontal (...)

  5. Movement Behaviours and Anxiety Symptoms in Chinese College Students: A Compositional Data Analysis.Luomeng Chao, Rui Ma & Weiwei Jiang - 2022 - Frontiers in Psychology 13.
In the current research, sleep duration, sedentary behaviour, physical activity, and their relationship with several anxiety symptoms among college students were examined. This study was a cross-sectional study, and study respondents were recruited from college students. A total of 1,475 of college students were included for analysis. Sedentary behaviours and physical activity were assessed by the International Physical Activity Questionnaire Short Form, while sleep duration was assessed by the Chinese version Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index. To assess the anxiety symptoms of (...)

    HIV Disease Progression: Overexpression of the Ectoenzyme CD38 as a Contributory Factor?Juan C. Rodríguez‐Alba, Amayrani Abrego‐Peredo, Carlos Gallardo‐Hernández, Jocelyn Pérez‐Lara, Wendolaine Santiago‐Cruz, Wei Jiang & Enrique Espinosa - 2019 - Bioessays 41 (1).
Despite abundant evidence associating CD38 overexpression and CD4 T cell depletion in HIV infection, no causal relation has been investigated. To address this issue, a series of mechanisms are proposed, supported by evidence from different fields, by which CD38 overexpression can facilitate CD4 T cell depletion in HIV infection. According to this model, increased catalytic activity of CD38 may reduce CD4 T cells’ cytoplasmic nicotin‐amide adenine dinucleotide (NAD), leading to a chronic Warburg effect. This will reduce mitochondrial function. Simultaneously, CD38's (...)

System Optimization and Robustness Stability Control for GIS Inspection Robot in Complex Microgrid Networks.Yu Yan, Wei Jiang, Zhiping Luo, Jianjun Zhang & Weidong Liu - 2021 - Complexity 2021:1-12.
GIS is important equipment in the substation system in a complex microgrid network. Due to the long-term service in harsh operation environments, the electrical performance of GIS equipment will be seriously affected. Therefore, the regular maintenance of GIS equipment in the substation system is a routine task so as to ensure the normal operation of the microgrid networks. The traditional method relies on manual labor, where not only with the low operation efficiency but also regarding some maintenance, labors cannot reach (...)

Link Trustworthiness Evaluation Over Multiple Heterogeneous Information Networks.Meng Wang, Xu Qin, Wei Jiang, Chunshu Li & Guilin Qi - 2021 - Complexity 2021:1-11.
Link trustworthiness evaluation is a crucial task for information networks to evaluate the probability of a link being true in a heterogeneous information network. This task can significantly influence the effectiveness of downstream analysis. However, the performance of existing evaluation methods is limited, as they can only utilize incomplete or one-sided information from a single HIN. To address this problem, we propose a novel multi-HIN link trustworthiness evaluation model that leverages information across multiple related HINs to accomplish link trustworthiness evaluation (...)
