L'auteur examine la place des femmes musulmanes dans la vie religieuse algérienne et de façon plus générale dans la société algérienne, dans une perspective socio-historique et anthropologique. Après une revue de la littérature qui met en évidence l'importance des femmes dans la sphère religieuse des premiers siècles de l'islam, l'auteur montre que celles-ci, progressivement marginalisées, ont investi le mysticisme comme lieu d'expression de leur rapport au divin. S'appuyant sur un travail de terrain qu'elle a effectué dans l'ouest algérien, elle décrit (...) et analyse les formes et les modalités d'implication de ces femmes dans l'univers du mysticisme maghrébin, le sens qu'elles donnent à leurs pratiques, leurs effets sur leur position dans la société. In the book De laudibus divinae sapientiae, according to Gilles, two opposite motors are at work in the human soul, sense and reason: the first one leads the man to evil; the second one to good. However Gilles gets the Thomist argument back to warn the reader that man, to reach the knowledge of the eternal truth and his own salvation, needs a third motor, which compensates for the limits of human reason.Therefore the human reason arranges the soul lower powers, (...) while it itself is governed by the Holy Spirits gifts, that form its supernatural habitus. These gifts lead the soul, through an anagogic, gnosiological and moral process, to a gradual conversion to the divine supreme Wisdom.The book under consideration reveals so some important changes in Gilles’ doctrine. We’ll analyze the problem of the human possibility to know and love God, according to Gilles’ theses before and with the Scholastic debates. (shrink)

This article examines all the books published by direct or indirect victims of terrorism in Italy in the so-called years of lead. It deals with two books published in the last century by two direct victims, those of the prosecutor Mario Sossi, who suffered a long kidnapping, and the architect Sergio Lenci, who survived being shot in the back of the head, and seven books published in the present century by relatives of victims: those of Agnese Moro, Sabina Rossa, Mario (...) Calabresi, Giammaria Mattei, Benedetta Tobagi, Silvia Giralucci and Luca Tarantelli. The essence of terrorism is to cause pain to some in order to frighten many, and if this pain is ignored in the historical narrative, an essential element is missing. (shrink)
