This article draws on Jacques Derrida’s and Roberto Esposito’s conceptualisations of the immunitarian paradigm to analyse the Slovenian crime novel _The Virus_. In the first part, we examine the links between neoliberalism and the rise of the Slovenian authoritarian state during the first wave of the Covid-19 pandemic. In the second part, we show that the neoliberal ethos is expressed in the figure of the self-serving and self-disciplined detective, in the nature of desocialised and privatised crime, and in the figure (...) of the self-righteous criminal. Although the actions of the detective and the criminal are autoimmunitarian, both function – paradoxically – as guardians of the common good by pursuing private interests. In the final section, we deconstruct the binary oppositions underlying the dual status of murdered victims, who are simultaneously criminally responsible and possess an unusual (non-heteronormative) or pathological sexual identity. Že od vsega začetka je dobro znano, da so se po padcu Troje Ahajci surovo znesli nad preživelimi Trojanci, samo proti dvema, Eneju in Antenorju, so se zaradi starega gostinskega prijateljstva in ker sta se zmeraj zavzemala za mir in vrnitev Helene, odpovedali slehernemu vojnemu pravu. Nato je po raznih nezgodah Antenor z množicoEnetov, ki so bili zaradi upora pregnani iz Paflagonije in so, ker so pred Trojo izgubili kralja Pilajmena, iskali voditelja in bivališče, prišel v najbolj notranji zaliv Jadranskega (...) morja. Eneti in Trojanci so pregnali Evganejce, ki so prebivali med morjem in Alpami, in zasedli njihovo ozemlje. Kraj, kjer so najprej stopili na kopno, se imenuje Troja in po njem so poimenovali Trojanski okraj. Vsemu ljudstvu je ime Veneti. (shrink)

Je n'ai jamais réussi, comme acteur, à jouer en suivant un rythme qui m'était donné a priori. Quand j'ai commencé à faire de la mise en scène, ce qui m'a intéressé, c'était de laisser s'écouler le temps dramatique, le temps des actions et des paroles, en ne sachant pas du tout quel rythme allait s'installer. Ethical approval must be obtained before medical research can start. We describe the differences in EA for an pseudonymous, non-interventional, observational European study. Sixteen European national coordinators of the international study on very old intensive care patients answered an online questionnaire concerning their experience getting EA. N = 8/16 of the NCs could apply at one single national ethical committee, while the others had to apply to various regional ECs and/or individual hospital institutional research boards. The time between applying for (...) EA and the first decision varied between 7 days and 300 days. In 9/16 informed consent from the patient was not deemed necessary; in 7/16 informed consent was required from the patient or relatives. The upload of coded data to a central database required additional information in 14/16. In 4/16 the NCs had to ask separate approval to keep a subject identification code list to de-pseudonymize the patients if questions would occur. Only 2/16 of the NCs agreed that informed consent was necessary for this observational study. Overall, 6/16 of the NCs were satisfied with the entire process and 8/16 were unsatisfied. 11/16 would welcome a European central EC that would judge observational studies for all European countries. Variations in the process and prolonged time needed to get EA for observational studies hampers inclusion of patients in some European countries. This might have a negative influence on the external validity. Further harmonization of ethical approval process across Europe is welcomed for low-risk observational studies. Getting ethical approval for low-risk, non-interventional, observational studies varies enormously across European countries. (shrink)

Tekst je posvećen tematskom okviru prostor-vremena u teoriji relativnosti nasuprot prostoru i vremenu u klasičnoj filozofiji prirode. Na prvi se pogled čini da su tri protagonista – Šop, Trubar i Montaigne – čiji se život, autobiografija i bibliografija komparativno istražuju – obvezani posve različitim, hrvatskim, slovenskim i francuskim etno-genetskim, a dijelom i udaljenim vremenskim ishodištima. Rasprava će se koncentrirati na određene događaje koji obilježavaju njihovo stvaranje iz kojega proizlazi relativnost životnoga vremena i prostora. Zajedničke crte ovih umjetnika pisane i govorene (...) riječi, kao plod jedne svjetooblikujuće filozofije života, osvjetljavaju se na taj način da opravdaju njihovo zajedničko imenovanje odgovarajućom sintagmom »putnici kroz vrijeme«. Time se ujedno precizira ovaj terminus technicus. Pokazuje se i utvrđuje da su oni, svojim bivanjem i kreativnošću, prekoračivali okvire konvencija i kauzalnosti, koje pripadaju vremensko-prostornim dimenzijama i uvjetima. Svjesna i nesvjesna biblijska polazišta njihova držanja i njihove kozmičke poruke pritom će biti od bitnoga značaja. (shrink)

Il constitue l'introduction d'un dossier tout à fait remarquable intitulé « le rythme et le discours » et comprenant, outre un article de Meschonnic lui-même, un entretien avec Antoine Vitez et des textes de Pierre David, Jacques Réda, Michel Deguy, Michel de Fornel, Christian Hervé et Paul (...) - Linguistique et théorie du langage.

Ob množici del grških in rimskih piscev, ki so bila prevedena v slovenski jezik, je Livijeva Zgodovina doslej ostala nekako ob strani. Razen posameznih odlomkov ni bilo prevedenega nič. Količina ohranjenega besedila, avtorjev slog z dolgimi stavčnimi periodami, izbranim besediščem in različnimi retoričnimi prijemi, vse to pred­stavlja za prevajalca gotovo precejšnjo oviro. Z novo knjigo, ki je pred kratkim izšla pri Slovenski matici in prinaša prvih pet Livijevih knjig v prevodu Primoža Simonitija, se sedaj to spreminja. Knjigo je uredil David (...) Movrin, ki je napisal tudi spremno besedo in pripravil obsežen spremni aparat. Prevod zajema nekje sedmino ohranjenega Livijevega dela, ob predvidenem nadaljevanju s skupino prevajalcev si lahko obetamo izid nadaljnjih zvezkov in v doglednem času tudi prevod vsega, kar se je od Livija ohranilo v rokopisnem izročilu.
