Розглянуто вплив історичної пам'яті про "російський Крим" на ідеологічно-пропагандист­ський супровід Другої анексії Криму 2014 р. Проаналізовано природу і вплив концепту "історичної образи" на становлення сучасного російського суспільно-політичного дискурсу про Крим. Показано, що в періоди економічних, політичних і соціальних криз національна образа може відіграти негативну роль, оскільки власні біди й негаразди можуть бути поставлені в провину іншим національним спільнотам. Почуття невдоволення й роз­дратування шукає виходу й часто виливається в акті агресії, причому метою цієї агресії може бути практично будь-який об'єкт, зовсім не (...) пов'язаний з джерелом самої напруженості. На цьому ґрунті, доводять автори, виростає явище так званого "національного ресентименту", який хоч і схожий, але не тотожний феномену "національної образи". (shrink)

The focus of the author’s attention has been on the emblematic sense concentration in the philosophical system of Hryhorii Skovoroda. The study aims to reveal the artistic and style features of eide emblematic formation in the texts of the Ukrainian sophist, their origin, context, and conceptual classification by the author himself. The theoretical generalizations were essentially based on the philosophical treatises and dialogues by Hryhorii Skovoroda and the studies of other scholars. To analyze the issues under scrutiny, the author applied (...) structuralist and semiotic methodology. The article highlights the emblematic sense, conveyance, and dominance in Skovoroda’s works. Emblematic forms of signification play a unique role in elucidating the anthropological, metaphysical, ethical, aesthetic, and hermeneutic dimensions of the Ukrainian poet and philosopher. Skovoroda considers emblemacity a particularly effective pictorial and verbal (iconic-conventional) type of “significative” speech, functioning as metalanguage. (shrink)

It remains largely unknown what was knowledge of philosophy by writers in Kyivan Rus’ of the 11th – 14th centuries. Moreover, there are no methodological foundations of resolving the issue. I suggest the key to the solution is the analysis of the meanings of words “philosophy” and “philosophers” in the texts of that time. This article aims to analyse how different researchers interpreted the meanings of these words in Kyivan Rus’ written sources of the 11th – 14th centuries. Use of (...) the word “philosophy” was interpreted by the researchers in six different ways: as an approximate synonym for the word “education”, but also as a pagan or Christian wisdom, as theology, as an allegorical method of interpreting Scripture, and as the knowledge of the nature of things. Some researchers emphasized one of the meanings, but others opted for a “pluralistic approach”, considering that Kyivan writers used the word in different meanings at the same time. The same is true about the word “philosopher”. It referred to an educated man, an ancient philosopher, a Christian thinker, a theologian etc. Another approach in the interpretation of these terms suggested Vilen Horskyi, distinguishing formal and essential properties of words “philosophy” and “philosopher”. He finds that the essential feature of philosophy was deification, a process whose aim is likeness to God, and cognition of God’s wisdom. Furthermore, according to Horskyi, in the philosopher the link between his knowledge and his action was inextricable. (shrink)

У статті розглянуто особливості діяльності міжнародного соціалістичного руху напередодні Першої світової війни. З'ясовано, що, попри зростання ролі соціалістів у суспільно-політичному житті європейських держав, вони репрезентували лише організований робітничий рух. Лівим удалось досягнути значного успіху в пропаганді соціалістичних гасел та організації робітничого класу після витіснення анархістів. Попри задекларовану єдність у ІІ Інтернаціоналі, соціалісти з різних країн не мали спільного бачення перспектив розвитку соціалістичного руху, його цілей та пріоритетів, а також ставлення до співпраці з офіційними урядами держав. Це спричинило ідейний поділ на (...) реформістів та радикалів у соціалістичному русі. Більшість лівих об'єднань та рухів були переконані, що австрійсько-сербський конфлікт удасться локалізувати і він не стане початком масштабних військових дій. Доведено, що ідеологічно-політичні поділи у ІІ Інтернаціоналі зрештою стали причиною розколу міжнародного соціалістичного руху з початком масштабних бойових дій у Європі. (shrink)

У статті розглянуто становище міжнародного лівого руху в умовах існування Версальської системи міжнародних відносин. На конкретних прикладах показані відмінності в ідеологічних принципах існування Комуністичного Інтернаціоналу та Соціалістичного Робітничого Інтернаціоналу. Особлива увага приділена процесам об'єднання учасників Бернського інтернаціоналу та Віденської спільноти. Зроблено висновки про те, що різні погляди на тактику та методи побудови соціалістичної держави стали на заваді об'єднанню учасників міжнародного соціалістичного руху та спричинили остаточний розкол у першій половині 1920-х рр.

Willingness and readiness of people to do their jobs are among the key factors of a successful enterprise. In XXI century intellectual human labour is gaining unprecedented value and is being developed actively. The demand for intellectual labour calls forth an increasing number of jobs and professions that require an extensive preparation, a large number of working places, high level of integration of joint human efforts, growth of social welfare. These trends are becoming ever more pervasive and are spreading widely (...) in service industries, and that explains the rapid development of the latter when compared to the traditional areas of human activity. In its turn, it heightens the need for staff in service companies, supported by significant personnel turnover and a certain shortage of skilled professionals. These circumstances determine the need for developing a new concept of fostering staff motivation at the enterprises in the sphere of services. In order to reach the stated purpose while conducting our research into tourism and hospitality industry, as well as retail chains, we have examined the problems that arise in the process of staff motivation, and studied the foreign practice of motivating staff in hotels. The obtained analysis results enabled us to work out practical recommendations on improvement of the mechanism of tangible and intangible rewards in service companies, which are based on external and internal motivational factors. Additional attention in the article is paid to the statement that financial incentives should be based on key performance indicators (KPI). We give a detailed consideration to the classification of internal motivation incentives of the staff according to the terms of their realization, and give a schematic representation of the performance dynamics of the internal motivation model in service businesses. In modern conditions the questions of personnel management, including motivation, acquire new meaning. Particularly given the problems relevant to the service sector, where at the beginning of the XXI century employing more than 60% of the workforce in developed countries. These circumstances determine the need for a modern concept of material and immaterial motivation of service industries. Such factors determine the need for the development modern concept of material and immaterial motivation of service industries staff. To obtain indicated objective during (...) research analyzed the existing concepts and paradigm of staff motivation with highlighting their advantages and disadvantages. The results obtained allowed to establish that scientific and expert community does not have the unified approach to the classification and identification of the most effective ones. Special attention is given to modern developments and approaches to the motivation problem. This fact caused the structure of follow studies, including three interlinked vectors: analysis of the essential content of the fundamental concepts in the field of staff motivation; defining features of employee motivation at the enterprises sphere of services; introduction to the key successful international practices which apply by service companies. In general, the results obtained enabled the author’s model of the modern concept of material and non-material motivation at the enterprises the service sector and the corresponding mechanism for the implementation. Актуальність теми зумовлена тим, що глобалізаційні процеси в економіці України, деструктивні явища в галузях промисловості, інституційні перетворення, що потребують креативних інноваційних рішень, вимагають удосконалення наукових поглядів на побудову моделі менеджменту промислових підприємств, яка б гуртувалась на гнучкому механізмі та враховувала кризові умови їх функціонування та забезпечувала можливості сталого економічного розвитку у майбутньому. Мета дослідження – концептуалізація та моделювання процесів побудови гнучкого менеджменту промислового підприємства, спрямованого на упередження втрати людського потенціалу, руйнування екологічних систем, забрудненості навколишнього середовища, тобто на забезпечення екологічної і (...) соціальної безпеки промислового виробництва. Аналіз останніх досліджень і публікацій, в яких започатковано розв’язання даної проблеми. У своєму дослідженні ми спираємся на роботу Аппело Юргена. Менеджмент 3.0. Agile-менеджмент. Лідерство та управління командами, яка об’єднує найсучасніші ідеї у сфері складних адаптивних систем, гнучкого керування та ощадливого постачання, пропонуючи здоровий, розумний, гнучкий і практичний механізм ефективного управління у ХХІ сторіччі, що представляє сучасну концепцію менеджменту 3.0. В статті ми спираємося також на роботи таких вчених, як Андрюкайтене Регіни, Воронкової В.Г., Пунченко О.П., Сосніна О.В., Старжинського В.В., Цепкало В.В., Череп А.В., а також на власні дослідження – Метеленко Н.Г., Сіліної І.В., Шапурова О.О. Концепція менеджменту 3.0 надає дорожню карту провідним командам у разі невизначеності та пропонує багату колекцію локальних моделей для безпосереднього використання, щоб краще адаптуватися до сучасних умов стохастичності, невизначеності, біфуркаційності та забезпечити розумне, адаптивне та практичне управління на промисловому підприємстві. Наукова новизна дослідження – обґрунтування ключових ознак фінансової та соціально-економічної кризи в промисловості, зокрема в стратегічних галузях – машинобудування і металургія та філософії побудови сучасної моделі гнучкого менеджменту на основі процесно – операційного підходу, спрямованої на розвиток інноваційно – інформаційної інфраструктури промислового підприємства у напряму забезпечення міжнародної конкурентоспроможності промислового виробництва та його сталий розвиток в умовах глобалізації. Olexandr Lukovyna’s interview with Professor Plínio Junqueira Smith is devoted to skeptic research in Brazilian philosophy, the beginning of skeptic studies in Brazil, Oswaldo Porchat’s and Ezequiel de Olaso’s roles in establishing the tradition of skeptic studies, contemporary studies in skepticism, and the global state of affairs in skeptic research.

“Beilis affair” (1911–1913) is one of the most resonate events in Kyiv of the early 20 th century. It was a subject of a huge number of investigations. However, a special analysis of the role that the members of Kyiv Theological Academy community played in this affair has not been made yet. Facts and data available require further reflections and deeper interpretations. For this, both a time span and a thematic content should be expanded. Thus, the author tries to reveal (...) the specifics of the discourse wherein the members of the community were predisposed to interpret both “Beilis affair” and “Jewish question” as a whole. The materials published in “Kyiv Theological Academy Studies” journal throughout all years of its existence in pre-revolutionary Russia (1860–1917) constitute the main source of information. In the study, the author tries to widen another researcher’s idea that “Beilis affair” became a unique case of the dialogue between Christians and Jews. The article shows that the foundations for this dialogue had been created in the previous years by many Kyiv Theological Academy community members, such as Andrii Khoinatskyi, Fedir Ornatskyi, Vasyl Pevnytskyi, Afanasii Bulhakov, Dmytro Bohdashevskyi, Olexandr Voronov, Mykola Stelletskyi, Viktor Ivanytskyi, Hryhorii Malevanskyi, Akym Olesnytskyi, and others. This experience as well as perfect knowledge of the European and world context, which the members of Kyiv Theological Academy intellectual community such as Olexandr Hlaholiev and Pavlo Tykhomyrov had, enabled them to make a real impact on the establishment of the dialogue between Christians and Jews in particular in the “Beilis affair”. Publication date: 2 May 2019 Source: Author: Tetiana Tverdokhlib The article focuses on the pedagogical component in the content of Pastoral Theology in the Ukrainian educational institutions of the Orthodox Church, which were included in the system of religious education of the Russian Empire at the beginning of the nineteenth century – at the end of the 1860's. Basing on the studied works “On Positions of Parish Presbyters” by the bishop of the Smolensk Parfenii and the Archbishop of Mogilev, Georgii, (...) “Letters on Positions of Sacred Rank” by Olexandr Sturdza, “Pastoral Theology” by Archimandrite Anthonii, as well as programs, lecture notes and lecture reviews of lecturers of theological seminaries and the Kiev Theological Academy it has been established that much attention at classes on Pastoral Theology was paid to the preparation of future priests for the religious and moral upbringing of parishioners. The main forms and methods of teaching Pastoral Theology have been presented on the basis of the analysis of archival materials, historical, pedagogical literature. Attention is drawn to the widespread dissemination in the seminaries of rote learning and text dictating, despite the prohibition of such methods by the 1814 Statute. The quality of teaching and staffing of this subject in the secondary and higher Ukrainian educational institutions of the Orthodox Church in the period under research. It has been proved that Pastoral Theology in seminaries was on an equal footing with other branches of theology: teachers understood its great importance for future presbyters and paid much attention to the subject as distinct from the Kiev Theological Academy.
