    A Terrifying Manipulator of Signs.Ronnen Ben-Arie & Marcelo Svirsky - 2020 - Deleuze and Guattari Studies 14 (2):280-298.
The question of Palestine has remained the ultimate test for intellectual and political consistency. In this article we canvass the discrepancies between two opposing French intellectual traditions in relation to Palestine, and scrutinise them in relation to Israel's investments in political languages designed for external constituencies. The article concludes with an observation on how French feminist voices are today shaping the conversation about the Palestine question in progressive ways.

    Defining Activism.Marcelo Svirsky - 2010 - Deleuze and Guatarri Studies 4 (Suppl):163-182.
Activism is defined in this paper as involving local instigations of new series of elements intersecting the actual, generating new collective enunciations, experimentations and investigations, which erode good and common sense and cause structures to swing away from their sedimented identities. By appealing to Spinozism, the paper describes the microphysics of the activist encounter with stable structures and the ways in which activism imposes new regimes of succession of ideas and affective variations in the power of action. Rather than understanding (...)

From Shared Life to Co-Resistance in Historic Palestine.Marcelo Svirsky - 2017 - Rowman & Littlefield International.
In its unique analysis of resistance, this book sets up a new methodology with which to study the settler colonial project in Palestine. Levering the insight that Zionism evolved as a project of ‘double elimination’ – of both the Native and shared life – the book sees to inform political work and political imagination.

The Empty Square of the Occupation.Marcelo Svirsky - 2010 - Deleuze and Guatarri Studies 4 (3):381-411.
This paper is an attempt to implement Gilles Deleuze's theory of the series and the event, and the related function of the empty square (as formulated primarily in The Logic of Sense), in relation to the geopolitical regime comprising ‘Israel proper’ and the system of occupation in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip. The purpose of this exercise is to help establish a practical access to Deleuze's philosophies, and to offer a clinical account of the Israeli occupation of the (...)
