Machine Learning-Based Analysis of Digital Movement Assessment and ExerGame Scores for Parkinson's Disease Severity Estimation.Dunia J. Mahboobeh, Sofia B. Dias, Ahsan H. Khandoker & Leontios J. Hadjileontiadis - 2022 - Frontiers in Psychology 13.
Neurodegenerative Parkinson's Disease is one of the common incurable diseases among the elderly. Clinical assessments are characterized as standardized means for PD diagnosis. However, relying on medical evaluation of a patient's status can be subjective to physicians' experience, making the assessment process susceptible to human errors. The use of ICT-based tools for capturing the status of patients with PD can provide more objective and quantitative metrics. In this vein, the Personalized Serious Game Suite and intelligent Motor Assessment Tests, produced within (...)

On single-valued neutrosophic soft uniform spaces.Yaser Saber, Hanan Alohali, Tawfik Elmasry & Florentin Smarandache - 2023 - AIMS Mathematics 9 (1).
In this paper, we introduce the notion of single-valued neutrosophic soft uniform spaces as a view point of the entourage approach. We investigate the relationship among single-valued neutrosophic soft uniformities, single-valued neutrosophic soft topologies and single-valued neutrosophic soft interior operators. Also, we study several single-valued neutrosophic soft topologies induced by a single-valued neutrosophic soft uniform space.

Sustainable grocery retailing: Myth or reality?—A content analysis.Marcus Saber & Anja Weber - 2019 - Business and Society Review 124 (4):479-496.
Sustainability reports are a crucial instrument to inform outside stakeholders not only about a company's sustainability performance but also to manage impressions. However, they are often prone to greenwashing and the reporting of negative topics can jeopardize corporate legitimacy. Therefore, this paper aims to analyze reporting quality and how grocery retailing companies deal with this challenge of reporting the true picture. The empirical material is taken from the latest sustainability reports and information available on the Internet for two major German (...)

Intentionality in Avicenna: a reconstruction based on his notion of ‘consideration’.Mohsen Saber & Majid Tavoosi Yangabadi - forthcoming - British Journal for the History of Philosophy:1-13.
Although Avicenna does not explicitly develop a ‘theory of intentionality', one can reconstruct his account of intentionality through an analysis of his thoughts on the relation between mind, meaning, and thing. We take up this task in this paper through an analysis of Avicenna's theory of the considerations of quiddity. First, we clarify Avicenna's idea of ‘quiddity', and show how it functions as a core of ‘meaning' which remains identical in its different modes of realization. Second, through an examination of (...)

Most Effective Sampling Scheme for Prediction of Stationary Stochastic Processes.Mohammad Mehdi Saber, Zohreh Shishebor, M. M. Abd El Raouf, E. H. Hafez & Ramy Aldallal - 2022 - Complexity 2022:1-14.
The problem of finding optimal sampling schemes has been resolved in two models. The novelty of this study lies in its cost efficiency, specifically, for the applied problems with expensive sampling process. In discussed models, we show that some observations counteract other ones in prediction mechanism. The autocovariance function of underlying process causes mentioned result. Our interesting result is that, although removing neutralizing observations convert sampling scheme to nonredundant case, it causes to worse prediction. A simulation study confirms this matter, (...)

Introduction Expressions of Managerial ethics as a clinical phenomenon in Nursing Ethics as expressed by nurse managers were investigated. A coherence could be detected between the concepts and phenomena of Managerial ethics and nurse managers as a context. Background Managerial ethics as a new approach has emerged in the perspective and by prioritizing ethics in the organization has provided the basis for creating and promoting individual and organizational effectiveness. Enhancement of K-means clustering in big data based on equilibrium optimizer algorithm.Omar Saber Qasim, Zakariya Yahya Algamal & Sarah Ghanim Mahmood Al-Kababchee - 2023 - Journal of Intelligent Systems 32 (1).
Data mining’s primary clustering method has several uses, including gene analysis. A set of unlabeled data is divided into clusters using data features in a clustering study, which is an unsupervised learning problem. Data in a cluster are more comparable to one another than to those in other groups. However, the number of clusters has a direct impact on how well the K-means algorithm performs. In order to find the best solutions for these real-world optimization issues, it is necessary to (...)

A completeness result for the simply typed λμ-calculus.Karim Nour & Khelifa Saber - 2010 - Annals of Pure and Applied Logic 161 (1):109-118.
In this paper, we define a realizability semantics for the simply typed $lambdamu$-calculus. We show that if a term is typable, then it inhabits the interpretation of its type. This result serves to give characterizations of the computational behavior of some closed typed terms. We also prove a completeness result of our realizability semantics using a particular term model.

In this paper, we present the -calculus which at the typed level corresponds to the full classical propositional natural deduction system. The Church–Rosser property of this system is proved using the standardisation and the finiteness developments theorem. We also define the leftmost reduction and prove that it is a winning strategy.

This article seeks to reconstruct and critically extend Jacques Derrida’s critique of Edmund Husserl’s transcendental phenomenology. Derrida’s critique of Husserl is explored in three main areas: the phenomenology of language, the phenomenology of time, and the phenomenological constitution of ideal objects. In each case, Husserl’s analysis is shown to rest upon a one-sided determination of truth in terms of presence—whether it be the presence of expressive meaning to consciousness, the self-presence of the temporal instant, or the complete presence of an (...)

The groundlessness of sense: a critique of Husserl’s idea of grounding.Bernhard Waldenfels, Charles Driker-Ohren & Mohsen Saber - forthcoming - Continental Philosophy Review:1-15.
This article critiques Husserl’s idea of grounding through an exploration of his notion of the lifeworld. First, it sketches different senses of the lifeworld in the Crisis and explains in what sense it is taken to be a universal foundation of all sense-formation. Second, it criticizes Husserl’s idea of grounding and shows that it fails because the alleged foundation—namely, the lifeworld as a perceptual world, or rather lifeworldly experience as perception—is inadequately determined. Perception cannot function as a universal foundation because (...)

    Completing the square of opposition.Ru Michael Sabre - 1989 - Argumentation 3 (1):97-107.
In this paper a set of categorical sentences called an antilogistic tetrad is presented as a perspective on Aristotle's square of opposition. An antilogistic tetrad is formed by collecting the premises of a pair of valid syllogisms the conclusions of which are contradictory categorical sentences. A set of such premises serves to bring together Aristotle's concern with debate and the syllogism, and as such may be seen as a way of “completing” Aristotle's analysis of the square of opposition. The debate context (...)

    Semeiotic time.Ru Sabre - 2020 - Semiotica 2020 (235):113-117.
Charles Peirce has it that ongoing experience in all its richness is all the product of semeiosis. The argument of this paper is that Carlo Rovelli’s book The Order of Time (2018) provides a context for the notion that the immediate sense of the passing of time emerges from the ongoing creation of experience by semeiosis.
