Comparing Thinking Style and Ethical Decision-Making Between Chinese and U.S. Students.Charles M. Vance, Judith A. White, Kevin S. Groves, Yongsun Paik & Lin Guo - 2016 - Journal of Business Ethics Education 13:117-146.
This study provides a comparison of thinking style and ethical decision-making patterns between 386 U.S. students and 506 students from the People’s Republic of China enrolled in undergraduate business education in their respective countries. Contrary to our expectations, the Chinese students demonstrated a significantly greater linear thinking style compared to American students. 5. Grasping of Real-World Objects Is Not Biased by Ensemble Perception.Annabel Wing-Yan Fan, Lin Lawrence Guo, Adam Frost, Robert L. Whitwell, Matthias Niemeier & Jonathan S. Cant - 2021 - Frontiers in Psychology 12.
The visual system is known to extract summary representations of visually similar objects which bias the perception of individual objects toward the ensemble average. Although vision plays a large role in guiding action, less is known about whether ensemble representation is informative for action. Motor behavior is tuned to the veridical dimensions of objects and generally considered resistant to perceptual biases. However, when the relevant grasp dimension is not available or is unconstrained, ensemble perception may be informative to behavior by (...)

Measure User Intimacy by Mining Maximum Information Transmission Paths.Lin Guo & Dongliang Zhang - 2020 - Complexity 2020:1-9.
The Internet has become an important carrier of information. Its data contain abundant information about hot events, user relations and attitudes, and so on. Many enterprises use high-impact Internet users to promote products, so it is very important to understand the mechanism of information transmission. Mining social network data can help people analyze the complex and changing relationships between users. The traditional method for doing this is to analyze information such as common interests and common friends, but this data cannot (...)
