How are social relations appearing in computers? How are social relations realised in a different kind of medium, in the hardware and software of computers? How are the organising principles of computer building related to those of the life-worlds in a social system? Following a partly social constructivist and partly hermeneutic line a more general answer will be presented. Tout en appréciant le «structuralisme dynamique» de Hayden White, Paul Ricoeur s’engage dans un débat avec la démarche «métahistorique». C’est la constitution du champ historique qui est l’objet principal de la controverse. Pour White, c’est le discours sur l’histoire qui constitue ce champ; la tâche métahistorique consiste, donc, dans une analyse de la structure tropologique et des modes explicatifs de ce discours. Ricoeur considère, au contraire, la vie dans l’histoire comme la véritable base de toute constitution du champ historique; c’est (...) pourquoi il cherche à substituer une phénoménologie herméneutique de l’expérience historique au structuralisme dynamique de White. Pourtant, grâce au caractère dynamique du structuralisme whitien, même la démarche métahistorique laisse entrevoir au moins des traces de l’expérience historique. En effet, des traces de cette espèce peuvent être découvertes dans les études consacrées par White aux grands historiens et philosophes de l’histoire du xixe siècle. Mais ce fait ne supprime pas la différence fondamentale entre les deux penseurs. C’est seulement Ricoeur qui assigne à l’expérience historique un rôle fondamental dans la constitution du champ historique. Pourtant, quant à la description précise de ce rôle, il y a aussi une certaine différence entre Temps et récit, d’une part, et La mémoire, l’histoire, l’oubli, de l’autre. Dans le premier ouvrage, Ricoeur met l’accent sur la redescription ou refiguration de la réalité par le récit. C’est seulement dans le dernier ouvrage qu’il parvient à mettre en évidence que la question d’une reconstruction vraie du passé ne relève pas seulement d’une approche purement épistémologique de l’histoire, mais qu’elle rend nécessaire également une analyse ontologique de la condition historique. The German-Hungarian phenomenologist became one of the few philosophers at the beginning of the 21st century who analyzed the foundations of transcendentalism in terms of the continental tradition. As a philosopher working within the framework of the Cartesian attitude, he posed the same questions as other philosophers after Heidegger - is it possible an alternative to ontotheology, is metaphysics possible after the rejection of metaphysics? But his answer quite accurately reflects both the internal contradictions of phenomenology and the heuristic possibilities (...) of modern non-classical ontology. The purpose of this article is to analyze the idea of L. Tengelyi's metaphysical phenomenology as a methodological project, with an emphasis on the concept of infinity. His work “World and Infinity. Towards the Problem of Phenomenological Metaphysics ”concentrates in itself an analysis of both the prehistory and the prospects of the phenomenological method at the beginning of the 21st century regarding post-metaphysical thinking. In my review, I survey the main content of L. Tengeli's book World and Infinity, reconstruct its structure and discuss the author’s research results in the field of phenomenology of the world, presented in it. In particular, I note here that Tengelyi conducts a detailed criticism of onto-theology, starting from the problem of the katholo-protological structure of metaphysics in Aristotle. He outlines Husserl’s doctrine of primordial facts and Heidegger’s idea of metontology. In addition, here I give a relatively detailed (...) description of Tengeliy’s understanding of a thing and the world, as well as his interpretation of infinity as a basic characteristic of the world. Les travaux de Saul Aron Kripke et la logique modale contemporaine établissent que la simultanéité de la nécessité et de l’a prioricité constitutives de la métaphysique kantienne résulte d’une confusion entre nécessités aléthique et épistémique. Cela conduit à un renouveau de la métaphysique, fondée sur une nécessité réelle de type non-a priori, c’est-à-dire une nécessité de fait. Celle-ci est perceptible chez Aristote au travers de la conception d’une nécessité hypothétique. Cette conception est ré-élaborée en une métaphysique phénoménologique par Husserl (« (...) faits originaires » [Urtatsachen]), Sartre, Levinas (la phénoménologie « ruine la souveraineté de la représentation ») ou J.-L. Marion (et son concept paradoxal de « contingence nécessaire »), faisant ainsi de l’automanifestation de la phénoménalisation un événement qui émerge spontanément et qui s’établit de soi : une nécessité de fait. Dans les situations les plus radicales de fragilisation de l’identité personnelle, la question « Qui suis-je? » est laissée sans réponse. Selon Paul Ricoeur, ces situations ne représentent pas pour autant de véritables pertes d’identité. Persiste une forme épurée, mise à nu de l’ipséité, qui finit par résoudre son errance identitaire en s’engageant envers autrui. Cet article vise à analyser la nature de cette ipséité résiduelle et à s’interroger sur la conception proposée par Ricoeur. Nous chercherons d’abord à montrer que (...) ni l’ipséité comme telle ni la promesse, qui est l’un de ses modes, ne constituent des modèles d’identité personnelle. Conservant l’idée que quelque chose reste de nous dans les crises identitaires, le concept ricoeurien d’ipséité fera ensuite l’objet d’une réappropriation phénoménologique venant lui donner, par le détour du concept d’identité narrative proposé par László Tengelyi, une base et une consistance identitaire. The presented article compares the points of view on time developed in analytical philosophy and in phenomenology actively developed by B. Russell and L. Tengelyi. The objective of the study coincides with the identifying a common horizon for understanding time in analytical philosophy and phenomenology. This help to clarify the possibilities of productive interaction between analytical philosophy and phenomenology. The author of the article believes that a positive answer to this question can be ensured by a special thought experiment. (...) The topic of this article is the problem of World and Infinity. The concepts “Weltanschauung,” (I. Kant) and “Umgreifende” (K. Jaspers) are introduced. A transcendental analysis of the concepts "World" and "Infinite" as ideas of reason is carried out. The theory of the world by L. Tengely is analyzed. Metaphysical and mathematical interpretations of the infinite are compared (actual and potential infinity, openness, horizon).

Welt und Unendlichkeit sind nicht nur Grundbegriffe der Philosophiegeschichte, sondern stehen auch im Zentrum gegenwartiger Debatten um die Moglichkeit und Grenzen von Metaphysik uberhaupt. Versteht man unter Welt die Gesamtheit dessen, was ist, dann stellt sich die Frage nach dem ontologischen Status dieser Seinstotalitat selbst. Wie, wenn uberhaupt, kann die Existenz der Welt sinnvoll gedacht werden? Der Begriff der Unendlichkeit konturiert und verscharft diese ontologische Frage dadurch, dass wir die Ganzheit namens Welt als unendlich erfahren, d. h. so, dass sie (...) unsere in epistemischer Hinsicht endlichen Weltbezuge grundsatzlich ubersteigt. Mit Welt und Unendlichkeit ist daher ein begrifflicher Spannungsraum eroffnet, bei dem es im wortlichen Sinne ums Ganze geht. Einen der bedenkenswertesten Gegenwartsbeitrage zu dieser durch die Begriffe Welt und Unendlichkeit abgesteckten Grundfrage der Philosophie hat Laszlo Tengelyi (1954-2014) geleistet. Et si, à l'inverse, la construction d'une identité forte ne pouvait advenir que grâce à l'articulation entre vulnérabilité, comme condition normale de l'existence, et autonomie? Tengelyi, so the author‘s research approach, mainly refers to traditional patterns, when he tries to say what the structure of the world might be. She considers Welt und Unendlichkeit (World and Infinity) a history of philosophy, revealing the sources of Tengelyi‘s inspirations. The author puts a focus on the „diakritische Differenz“(diacritical difference) and the „heterologisches Prinzip“ (heterological principle) as Tengelyi‘s propositions of a dynamic formation of the world. Even though the philosophical terms in ancient Greek and Latin (...) reveal Tengelyi‘s tendency to unambiguousness. The author contends that Tengelyi does not recognize rhetorical figures as possible schemes of the openess of the world (Weltoffenheit) and that he therefore misses a vital phenomenological aspect. I explore some of the ways that assumptions about the nature of substance shape metaphysical debates about the structure of Reality. Assumptions about the priority of substance play a role in an argument for monism, are embedded in certain pluralist metaphysical treatments of laws of nature, and are central to discussions of substantivalism and relationalism. I will then argue that we should reject such assumptions and collapse the categorical distinction between substance and property.

When we compare Henry and Levinas, we stumble upon a difficulty. Henry tries to reduce transcendence to immanence; Levinas, on the contrary, strives to call immance into question and to lend a new dignity to transcendence. Hence, the two thinkers seem to be diametrically opposed to one another. Yet, if one does not limit oneself to such an overall view, one finds some similarities between them. There is an affinity between the two approaches which results from the fact that both (...) thinkers establish a narrow relationship between originally passive affectivity and the selfhood of the self. Henry and Levinas are, despite all their differences, united in their efforts to ground selfhood on passivity and affectivity. Assuredly, it remains a question whether or not an originally passive affectivity is really capable of founding selfhood. Some doubt arises here from the observation that affectivity tends to anonymity. However, the observation that affectivity is marked by a tendency to anonymity has not only a negative and critical significance; it also characterizes affective states and arousals in a positive way, since one can maintain that the self could not be a ?self? unless it were constantly confronted with a tendency to anonymity. In my paper, I reconstruct the basic features of the metaphysical conception of the world in László Tengelyi. I outline that he understands the world and its existence as a fact. In opposition to traditional ontology, Tengelyi believes that the fact of the world is of necessary. However, its necessity is not of logical a priori nature but conditioned by the concordance of experience. One ought to point out that the Tengelyi’s phenomenological metaphysics of the world is (...) limited by the realm of experience. Following Husserl, he treats the world as the universal horizon of the experience. This is the horizon in which a thing can appear as limitless system of gradations. I analyze also the Tengelyi’s concept ‘project of world’ and explore two ‘projects’ of such a kind pointed in his metaphysics, namely (1) metontological transcendentalism and (2) naturalistic autarchism. I pay a special attention to the Tengelyi’s concept of the infinitude as a basic characteristic of the world. He considers it as the openness to the generation of the absolute new qualities of the things in the world. (shrink)
