In 1897 physicists took the first e/m measurements at electrons, the consequence was a revival of the atomistic ideas in physics. The researches in geophysics also contributed to the construction of the modern physics. Four examples are dealt with this essay. 1) In 1899 J. J. Thomson was able to carry out the first direct determination of elementary electric charge with the help of the conformity with the natural laws at the formation of fog, found by C. T. R. Wilson. (...) 2) The cloud-chamber, called after C. T. R. Wilson, was the result of various constructions of for- or cloud-chambers, in it there were shown for the first time the tracks of α- and β-particles. 3) At the exploration of the photoelectric effect of the sunlight (especially of the ultraviolet share) Elster and Geitel made essential preliminary studies for the lightquanta-hypothesis of Einstein. 4) Elster and Geitel detected radioactive substances in the atmosphere and in the soil to be the main source of the atmospheric electricity. Zusammenfassung Im öffentlichen Diskurs findet die geballte Rede von Helden und Heldentum meist nur noch in der Kommentierung sportlicher Ereignisse und Akteure statt. Einzelne Athleten oder Mannschaften wachsen in Wettkampfsituationen über sich hinaus, verzaubern das Publikum mit außeralltäglichen Leistungen und erhalten hierfür den Ritterschlag zum Helden. Pointiert formuliert: In funktional differenzierten Gesellschaften ist der Spitzensport der einzige Sozialbereich, der real existierende Helden noch in einer ungefährlichen und sozial weithin akzeptierten Weise produzieren kann. Der folgende Artikel analysiert in einem ersten Schritt (...) die sportspezifischen Bedingungen, die dazu beigetragen haben, dass der Spitzensport zum zentralen Heldensystem der modernen Gesellschaft reüssieren konnte, stellt zweitens eine Heldentypologie vor und diskutiert drittens die wichtigsten narrativen Verlaufsfiguren, die den Heldengeschichten des Sports zugrunde liegen. Inquiries of Wellstein, Grünbaum and others have proved that there are indefinitely many different spatial models of Euklidian geometry. The points, lines and planes of these models are related to each other as the points, straight lines and planes of Euklidian geometry, but they are obviously totally different from them. That means that the axiomatic Euklidian geometry does not clearly determine the spatial forms of their planes and straight lines. The constructive geometry basing on approaches of Hugo Dingler tries to (...) solve this problem of disambiguity so that a clear realization of the geometrical basic objects plane, straight line and rectangle and others is possible because of certain rules. On the one hand these rules are to pledge the techniques of realisation and on the other hand they are the basic for the deduction of statements on the technically realized geometrical basic objects. The rules are especially to pledge the selection of apt material that keep its form. The following will show that the disambiguity cannot be pledged by the mere laws established by the constructive geometry and especially that the problem of electing the material cannot be solved by these laws. Furthermore it proves to be necessary to analyze and reconstruct more circumstances describing the selection of apt material which exceed the present standard of constructive geometry. (shrink)

Zusammenfassung Die Zahl jener Akteure, die sich in ihrer Freizeit exzessiv und unter Absehen der dadurch ausgelösten psychischen, physischen und sozialen Konsequenzen dem Sport hingeben, ist in den letzten Jahren stark angestiegen. Sportmedizin und Sportpsychologie haben hierfür den Begriff „exercise addiction“ geprägt und eine Vielzahl wichtiger Erkenntnisse hervorgebracht. Im Unterschied zu der in diesen Disziplinen üblichen Vorgehensweise, die psychischen und physischen Aspekte des Themas personalisierend in den Vordergrund zu rücken, um das stoffungebundene Suchtverhalten im Sport zu erklären, wählt der vorliegende (...) Beitrag einen soziologischen Zugang. Die Sportsucht wird folglich als soziales Phänomen behandelt und analytisch auf einer makro-, meso- und mikrogesellschaftlichen Ebene verortet. Die soziokulturellen Bedingungen sportsüchtigen Handelns lassen sich so präzise herausarbeiten. Vor allem wird auch deutlich gemacht, warum immer mehr Menschen gerade den Sport als Suchtfeld nutzen. Damit präsentiert der Text erstmalig den Entwurf einer Soziologie der Sportsucht. (shrink)
