Die Allgemeine Glückseligkeit: Zur Systematischen Stellung Und Funktionen der Glückseligkeit Bei Kant.Ji Young Kang - 2015 - Boston: De Gruyter.
Kant is regarded as the key critic of eudemonic ethics. Interpreters have claimed that for Kant, happiness was neither a precondition for morality nor a reward for moral conduct. However, this study shows that happiness does play a key role in Kant s moral philosophy. It reveals Kant s practical philosophy as a theory that seriously considers the irrefutable necessity for individual happiness in life.".

On the derivation of the “supreme principle of morality” in Groundwork of Metaphysics of Moral I.Ji Young Kang - 2022 - Journal of the Society of Philosophical Studies 66:49-80.

Between Christianity and Asian Traditions in 20th-Century China: The Contributions of Wu Leichuan.Kang Ji Yeon - 2016 - Journal for the Study of Religions and Ideologies 15 (45):143-161.
This article focuses on the religious hybridity propagated by Wu Leichuan, a reformative Christian thinker from China. The article centers on the question of how to understand the social praxis as well as the interaction and religious hybridity involving modern Western thoughts and traditional Asian thoughts. Wu’s Christian thought contains elements of social praxis that purport to understand sufferings of common people and thus differs from existing dominant Christian theology characterized by materialism and secular success. Wu claims that “benevolence” is (...)

Storytelling festival participation and tourists’ revisit intention.Sung-Hoon Ko, Ji-Young Kim, Yongjun Choi, Jongsung Kim & Hyun Chul Kang - 2022 - Frontiers in Psychology 13.
Storytelling is getting increasing attention as one of the effective strategies for revitalizing the local festivals and even regional economies. Yet, the mechanisms through how storytelling helps the success of local festivals are still relatively less known. Using the data from 322 individuals who participated in local festivals using storytelling, our results showed that local festival storytelling is positively related to tourists’ revisit intention. Furthermore, the positive relationship between local festival storytelling and tourists’ revisit intention was serially mediated by authenticity (...)

EEG-Based Brain Network Analysis of Chronic Stroke Patients After BCI Rehabilitation Training.Gege Zhan, Shugeng Chen, Yanyun Ji, Ying Xu, Zuoting Song, Junkongshuai Wang, Lan Niu, Jianxiong Bin, Xiaoyang Kang & Jie Jia - 2022 - Frontiers in Human Neuroscience 16.
Traditional rehabilitation strategies become difficult in the chronic phase stage of stroke prognosis. Brain–computer interface combined with external devices may improve motor function in chronic stroke patients, but it lacks comprehensive assessments of neurological changes regarding functional rehabilitation. This study aimed to comprehensively and quantitatively investigate the changes in brain activity induced by BCI–FES training in patients with chronic stroke. We analyzed the EEG of two groups of patients with chronic stroke, one group received functional electrical stimulation rehabilitation training and (...)

Ji Kang’s “An Essay on Nourishing Life” has, for much of its history, been overshadowed by his more famous work “Sound is without Grief or Joy.” Be that as it may, “An Essay on Nourishing Life” is also an important text in that it delves into the interdependence of the heart-mind, spirit, and vital breath, and into how harmony between them is the key to ensuring physical longevity. In addition to investigating this aspect of his thought, this paper will (...)

Reading Ji Kang's Essays: Xuanxue in Early-Medieval China.David Chai - 2021 - New York, NY: Routledge.
This is the first English-language book on the philosophy of Ji Kang. Moreover, it offers the first systematic treatment of his philosophy, thus filling a significant gap in English-language scholarship on early medieval Chinese literature and philosophy. David Chai brings to light Ji Kang's Neo-Daoist heritage and explores the themes in his writings that were derived from classical Daoism, most notably the need for humanity to return to a more harmonious co-existence with Nature to further our own self-understanding.
