    Based on a short presentation of the unexplained relation of brain and consciousness, the mereological fallacy is addressed as a main point of criticism on typical, especially materialistic attempts of solution. Facing the risk of an unrefected mixing of different descriptive levels, purified phenomenologies of brain and consciousness have to be elaborated.
