Pasman, Guy A. M. Widdershoven & Bregje D. Onwuteaka-Philipsen - 2012 - Journal of Medical Ethics 38 (5):267-273.
Introduction With an ageing population, end-of-life care is increasing in importance. The present work investigated characteristics and time trends of older peoples' attitudes towards euthanasia and an end-of-life pill. Methods Three samples aged 64 years or older from the Longitudinal Ageing Study Amsterdam (N=1284 (2001), N=1303 (2005) and N=1245 (2008)) were studied. Official statistics and Big Data.Piet J. H. Daas, Barteld Braaksma & Peter Struijs - 2014 - Big Data and Society 1 (1).
The rise of Big Data changes the context in which organisations producing official statistics operate. Big Data provides opportunities, but in order to make optimal use of Big Data, a number of challenges have to be addressed. This stimulates increased collaboration between National Statistical Institutes, Big Data holders, businesses and universities. In time, this may lead to a shift in the role of statistical institutes in the provision of high-quality and impartial statistical information to society. In this paper, the changes (...)

    Psychology and the Moral Problems of Our Time.W. J. H. Sprott - 1948 - Philosophy 23 (86):227 - 238.
The title of this lecture, as it stands now, is “Psychology and the Moral Problems of Our Time.” When I received the extremely flattering invitation to address you, the proposed title was “Light from Psychology on the Moral Problems of Our Time,” and as I am not by any means sure that Psychology throws a very clear light upon our problems, I begged that the title might be toned down. Shaping the History of Education?: The First 50 Years of Paedagogica Historica.Jeroen J. H. Dekker & Frank Simon (eds.) - 2016 - Routledge.
In 1961 the Centre for the Study of the History of Education at Ghent University, Belgium published the first issue of the multilingual journal _Paedagogica Historica: International Journal of the History of Education_. This book celebrates its fiftieth volume. In fourteen contributions written by different generations of historians of education, it demonstrates that in an era where the history of education at university level is at risk, both the journal and the discipline are pulsing, and alive and kicking. Was the (...)
