In a number of recent philosophical works, the concept of ontography has been raised to involve a revaluation of figurative and visual thinking against logico-conceptual thinking— i. e. a revaluation of a philosophical practice that supplements or departs from the traditional site of philosophy, language. This paper investigates the ontographic dimensions of Charles S. Peirce’s diagrammatology by focusing on his system of »existential graphs« as ontography avant la lettre.

Among the many institutions of sending, television certainly represents the most successful one over long decades. Nevertheless, given the changes that the medium incurs in terms of broadcasting and broadcasts as a consequence of digitalisation, many proclaim – and not entirely without reason – the post-broadcast era. This paper studies these changes by way of a reading of different television series. The format of the series seems particularly suitable to this end, since the broadcasting of television seems deeply linked to (...) seriality and the serial as a principle. Unter den Institutionen des Sendens stellt das Fernsehen mit Sicherheit die über lange Jahrzehnte erfolgreichste dar. Gleichwohl wird angesichts der mit der Digitalisierung einhergehenden, das Senden und die Sendungen weitreichend betreffenden Veränderungen, die das Medium unterläuft, vielerorts und nicht völlig grundlos die Post-Broadcast-Ära ausgerufen. Anhand der Lektüre verschiedener Serien werden diese Veränderungen hier nachvollzogen und untersucht. Das Sendungsformat der Serie erscheint für ein solches Unterfangen besonders geeignet, weil das Senden des Fernsehens zutiefst mit der Serialität und dem Seriellen als Prinzip (...) verknüpft scheint. An den Formen und Veränderungen des Seriellen lassen sich auch die Veränderungen des Fernsehsendens ablesen.
