Residências Integradas Multiprofissionais em Saúde são programas de pós-graduação caracterizados por ensino em serviço. A ULBRA oferece o programa com ênfase em Saúde do Adulto e do Idoso e Saúde Comunitária. Objetiva-se descrever as atividades realizadas em ambiente hospitalar por enfermeiras. Trata-se de um relato de experiência de enfermeiras residentes em relação ao primeiro ano de formação especializada. O primeiro ano de residência abrangeu atividades em unidades de internação, centro cirúrgico e unidade de tratamento intensivo. Diversas foram as atividades desenvolvidas (...) pelas residentes, abrangendo aperfeiçoamento técnico, produção de conhecimento científico e atuação em gestão e gerenciamento. A presença de tutores e preceptores é fundamental no sentido de discutir, orientar e facilitar a inserção e o desenvolvimento profissional do residente. O programa de residência permitiu aperfeiçoar habilidades nos três campos de atuação da categoria: assistência, gerenciamento e pesquisa. (shrink)

In his recent article, “Everything is Conceivable: A Note on an Unused Axiom in Spinoza's Ethics”, Justin Vlasits carefully analyzes parallels between the first four propositions of the Ethics and Spinoza’s correspondence with Henry Oldenburg to argue that Spinoza intended to appeal to E1A2 in E1P4dem of the Ethics. In this short response, I identify a problem with Vlasits’ analysis. Vlasits insists that the scope of E1A2 is not determined by what is conceivable, and I show that this creates a (...) logical lacuna within his reconstructions of Spinoza’s arguments for the claim that “outside the intellect there is nothing except substances and their affections”. However, I show that on the conceivables interpretation of E1A2 that Vlasits' rejects, Spinoza’s argument for this claim goes through. While my analysis undermines Vlasits' attempt to identify the role of E1A2 in the Ethics, it sheds substantial light on this axiom, and shows how conceivability and being are intertwined in Spinoza’s thought. O artigo aborda a contradição entre o fato de o homem ser ontologicamente livre, mas, ao mesmo tempo, experimentar-se psicologicamente "determinado", como se fosse compelido a certos comportamentos indesejados. Como é possível compreender tal paradoxo? Para tanto, o artigo aborda: 1) a proposta de Sartre, de uma nova perspectiva para a psicologia clínica, estabelecida a partir de interlocuções com a psicanálise freudiana; 2) a história de um indivíduo, que utilizaremos como "estudo de caso" no transcorrer de nossa explanação, especificamente a (...) biografia de Jean Genet, escrita por Sartre; 3) o conceito de liberdade na concepção sartriana e suas implicações na compreensão do humano; 4) a questão da dinâmica psicológica e seus desdobramentos para o entendimento dos impasses psicológicos. Com esses elementos, forneceremos alguns subsídios dessa teoria buscando elucidar como são possíveis tais contradições.This article deals with the contradictions between the fact that man is ontologically free, but at the same time, he experiences himself "determined", as if compelled by certain undesired behaviours. How is it possible to understand this paradox? To be able to , this article introduces 1) the Sartrean's proposal of new perspective to clinical psychology, set up by dialogue with psychoanalyse; 2) the history of an individual we will use as an "case study" during the explanation. Particularly, Jean Genet's biography, written by Sartre; 3) the idea of freedom within a Sartrean conception and its implications for human understanding; 4) the issue of psychological dynamics and its development in relation to understanding psychological impasses. With these elements we provide instruments taken from Sartrean theory so as to attempt an explanation of how such contradictions are possible. (shrink)

This paper resolves some puzzles regarding Spinoza’s appropriations and rejections of various aspects of Bacon’s methodology, and uses these solutions to resolve some long-standing puzzles concerning Spinoza’s modus operandi in the TTP. We argue first that, appearances to contrary, Spinoza takes a consistent line in his assessment of Bacon’s epistemic approach. We argue that Spinoza follows Bacon in grounding his overall epistemic method in a “historiola mentis” (a brief account or history of the mind), and that differences between Spinoza’s and (...) Bacon’s respective historiola mentis can explain Spinoza’s embrace of this inductive method for his interpretation of Scripture in the TTP, as well as his general abandonment of Bacon’s inductive method in the metaphysical investigation of the Ethics. In short, we argue that the “historiola mentis” constructed by Bacon depicts the intellect as an error-prone faculty that needs be continuously restrained by observation and experimentation—a depiction which motivates Bacon’s reformed inductive empiricism. Spinoza accepts this depiction in regard to a subset of the mind’s ideas—the ideas of the imagination, and hence sees the inductive method as suitable for interpreting Scripture. But contra Bacon, Spinoza’s “historiola mentis” also shows that the human mind includes a subset of ideas that yield true, certain knowledge of things “infinite” and sub specie aeternitatis. Spinoza finds these “intellectual” ideas to be quite useful for systematic metaphysics, but of limited use for interpreting historical texts like Scripture. (shrink)
