The following text aims to pose the question provoked by the of discrepancy between infancy as defined in the work of Jean-Francois Lyotard and childhood per se, and to do so in the epochal context of an educational temporality governed by the attributes of acceleration, “profitable,” knowledge, cognitivism, rampant inequalities, an ethos of “success” at any cost, a univocal relationship between knowledge and utilitarianism, and a severe conflict between egalitarian organization and experience and the demand for performance. The loss of (...) infancy in childhood is perhaps the loss of infancy in humanity, depriving it of free time, the possibility of fiction, creation, play, and art. The question that permeates the article is, what does it mean to listen to the voices of infancy in childhood? What is being articulated there? How might we appreciate those voices as a starting point for the reinvention of a different form of education? Our fundamental objective is to construct a politics and a poetics of time that, in their aesthetic and ethical expression, indicate the possibility of a different educational journey for children and childhood, based on the sense of the existence of a time for which it is never too late. El texto que se presenta no busca tanto un cuestionamiento a los formatos tradicionales de pensar lo común en la educación, sino que insiste en una pregunta sobre la convivencia, por el estar juntos en las instituciones educativas. Una cuestión quizá curiosa o excéntrica en tiempos en que parece que lo habitual sea la incomunión, la desidia, el abandono, el miedo a todo lo que pueda ser (en apariencia) extraño o intruso o débil o ajeno o indescifrable o incognoscible.

This essay dedicates itself to poetically think about childhood, philosophy and solitude. By using some literary images, it provokes us to think of childhood beyond chronology, linear time, life phases, investing in the potentiality of the minimum, of the tiniest, of the minutiae as a force that can move us from the common places of thought, to expose or disturb our ways of seeing, of understanding, of thinking. Childhood, literature, philosophy and solitude keep alive the flame of unfinishing, of incompleteness, (...) making the wheel of life spin: poetry is made of everything that easily breaks, of the unusable, which lasts just a little less than an instant wich is, in it’s turn, minimal, is what undoes the civilization of gold, the merchandise of blasphemy, including what can not be remembered, the least, the odd, the insufficient. Thus, this essay is an invitation so that we can look attentively, calmly, at the unseemly things, at the almost silent words, at the minimal gestures and then to be able to listen and to see, perhaps, another poetic of the childhood and the philosophy, a distinct relationship with the childhood, the literature, the philosophy and the solitude in such a way that we can say: yes, childhood has a voice; yes, childhood without a voice is a disgrace.
