El problema de la sabiduría ocupa un lugar central en la obra de Luis Vives. En esta segunda parte del artículo, la sabiduría en concepto de Vives aparece no sólo como expresión de la plenitud del conocimiento sino también como inseparable de la virtud y de la promoción del bien público.

Desde la Ilustración, la referencia a la Reforma constituye una de las señas de identidad de la filosofía alemana, especialmente del Idealismo alemán. También Heidegger se va a sumar a esa tradición, sobre todo en su periodo de juventud. El artículo analiza los aspectos fundamentales de la confrontación heideggeriana con la Reforma, resaltanto tanto su inserción en la historia de la filosofía alemana como su relevancia para la configuración de la filosofía heideggeriana.

El artículo analiza los rasgos fundamentales de su concepción de Europa, en el horizonte de los grandes problemas de su tiempo. Por una parte la amenaza turca sobre Europa y por otra las transformaciones internas de Europa, tanto políticas como religiosas.

El problema de la sabiduría ocupa un lugar central en la obra de Luis Vives. La primera parte de este estudio analiza la importancia de este tema, y sus características fundamentales. Vives se nos presenta como un humanista independiente y libre que se preocupa ante todo por el problema de la verdad, en diálogo con la tradición clásica y cristiana, y a la vez con su propio tiempo.

El artículo analiza en primer lugar la idea de Europa en Condorcet, una idea que resultaba central en el discurso de los pensadores europeos del siglo XVIII. Pero la reflexión condorcetiana sobre Europa es a la vez una reflexión sobre América, una vez que se produce la llamada Revolución americana. Condorcet analiza el influjo de esta Revolución en la renovación de Europa y trata de encontrar tanto las convergencias como las diferencias entre la vía americana y la francesa (europea) hacia (...) la libertad política. One of the main features of Heidegger’s thinking is his constant confrontation with the history of the western philosophy, above all with the greek and the modern. But the young Heidegger also maintained an important dialogue with medieval philosophy. This article is intended as an approximation to this last topic, in the light of the new volumes that appeared within the framework of the Gesamtausgabe. The heideggerian confrontation with medieval philosophy is primarly a philosophical confrontation and is changing according to (...) the changes in Heidegger’s own philosophical conceptions. The article reveals the ambivalence of the Hegelian interpretation of medieval philosophy. Hegel shares the «anti-medieval» prejudice prevailing in modern thought since the Renaissance and Reformation. In Hegel, the Protestant heritage is especially strong. Yet when he observes the subjectivist tendencies of modern Protestant theology, he proposes, as a counter-model, the more speculative and philosophical approaches of medieval thinkers.One can thus speak of a «vindication» of medieval philosophy in Hegel´s thought, despite his anti-medieval prejudice.

This article is supposed to be an approximation to Eduard Gans´ conception of Europe, an author considered to be the most prominent disciple of Hegel by a growing number of scholars. In those times, the idea of Europe was a highly topical subject, due to both to the influence of the Enlightenment and the French Revolution, but as well to the development of German idealism. Gans is closely related to these instances and formulates an idea of Europe that goes beyond (...) the conception of his teacher Hegel. Tarski's theory of truth brings out the question of whether he intended his theory to be a correspondence theory of truth and whether, whatever his intentions, his theory is, in fact, a correspondence theory. The aim of this paper is to answer both questions. The answer to the first question depends on Tarski's relevant assertions on semantics and his conception of truth. In order to answer the second question Popper's and Davidson's interpretations of Tarski's truth theory are examined; to this (...) end both Tarski's definition of truth in terms of satisfaction and the T-sentences are taken into account. Se investiga el tradicional problema de la identidad personal. Luego del análisis de los intentos comunes de solución, se postula como tesis central que la identidad personal queda determinada por la memoria, específicamente por la interconexión de los diferentes datos que la componen, planteo con el que se obtiene una solución natural y simple del problema; no siendo necesario, por tanto, recurrir al dualismo ni a hipóstasis de ningún tipo.

El seminario ha estado dedicado a la discusión de dos importantes problemas gnoseológicos. El primero de ellos es el relativo al concepto mismo de conocimiento, para cuyo esclarecimiento nos hemos concentrado en el examen de la posición, muy difundida en la actual teoría del conocimiento, según la cual el conocimiento debe entenderse como creencia verdadera justificada ; esto por cuanlo la referida noción parece poder enfrentarse con mejores posibilidades de éxito a los argumentos escépticos.

En este artículo se examina la peculiar asimetría que afecta la sucesióntemporal. Se procede dentro de una concepción no sustancialista del tiempo, la misma que puesta en acción permite aclarar el panorama eliminando confusiones innecesarias. Se considera que el problema tiene que ser examinado en el nivel de los procesos físicos, pero remarcándose que para tales efectos es incorrecto tanto distinguir entre procesos mecánicos y procesos termodinámicos, como pretender determinar la dirección temporal sobre la base de estos últimos. Se afirma (...) finalmente que en la noción misma de proceso, en la disposición de los eventos que lo constituyen, está implícita de una particular manera la base para hablar de esa dirección.
