    A critical response to Will Kymlicka´s view of multiculturalism.A. Anwarullah Bhuiyan - 2011 - Human Affairs 21 (2):129-139.
The objective of this article is to consider how multiculturalism, minority rights, and nationbuilding have been defended by Will Kymlicka. For this purpose, I will first attempt to spell out the answers to the following questions: is it possible to defend minority rights in a liberal state? What is the problem regarding this defence of national minorities? Does anybody benefit from minority rights within a nationbuilding process? In order to find out the answer to these questions, I will first introduce (...)

Seeking an ethical theory for the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak with special reference to Bangladesh’s law and policy.A. S. M. Anwarullah Bhuiyan - 2020 - Developing World Bioethics 21 (4):173-186.
Globally, a traditional management model has generally been used to manage disaster situations, including in Bangladesh. In Bangladesh, the government mostly uses the preparedness policy for pandemic outbreak case management. With regard to the limitations arising from the pandemic outbreak the current research will investigate the following questions: when facing a devastating situation, what exactly is the nature of the pandemic outbreak management model incorporated at the governmental level? Keeping these questions in mind, the intention of the existing model is (...)

Traffic rules compliance checking of automated vehicle maneuvers.Hanif Bhuiyan, Guido Governatori, Andy Bond & Andry Rakotonirainy - 2024 - Artificial Intelligence and Law 32 (1):1-56.
Automated Vehicles (AVs) are designed and programmed to follow traffic rules. However, there is no separate and comprehensive regulatory framework dedicated to AVs. The current Queensland traffic rules were designed for humans. These rules often contain open texture expressions, exceptions, and potential conflicts (conflict arises when exceptions cannot be handled in rules), which makes it hard for AVs to follow. This paper presents an automatic compliance checking framework to assess AVs behaviour against current traffic rules by addressing these issues. Specifically, (...)

The national awami party: Role of a leftist party in the politics of bangladesh.Abdul Wadud Bhuiyan - 2000 - Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities 40 (1&2):33-49.
It is almost a truism that political development is synonymous with the building of integrative institutions. The most important of these institutions is the political party. The political parties generally perform many manifest functions. Firstly, parties act as brokers of ideas, programmes and policies. In doing so, they articulate as well as aggregate the diverging interests of the country and help resolve cleavages within the nation. Secondly, they recruit support from all parts of the country and help elect political office-bear (...)

Travel decision making during and after the COVID-2019 pandemic: Revisiting travel constraints, gender role, and behavioral intentions.Norzalita Abd Aziz, Fei Long, Miraj Ahmed Bhuiyan & Muhammad Khalilur Rahman - 2022 - Frontiers in Psychology 13.
The COVID-19 pandemic has deeply influenced the tourism and hospitality industry, and it has also reshaped people’s travel preferences and related behaviors. As a result, how prospective travelers perceive travel constraints and their effects on future travel behaviors may have changed to some extent. Besides, such perception arguably varies across gender. Therefore, this research examines the interplay between travel constraints, gender, and travel intentions for facilitating robust tourism recovery by revisiting the Leisure Constraints Model from a gender perspective. Data were (...)
