As forms of private self-regulation, multi-stakeholder initiatives have emerged as an important empirical phenomenon in global governance processes. At the same time, MSIs are also theoretically intriguing because of their inherent double nature. On the one hand, MSIs spell out CSR standards that define norms for corporate behavior. On the other hand, MSIs are also the result of corporate and stakeholder behavior. We combine the perspectives of institutional theory and club theory to conceptualize this double nature of MSIs. Based on (...) a stage model that looks at the interplay of actor and institutional dynamics, we generate insights into why actors join a voluntary MSI, how the various motivations and intentions of the actors influence the standard development, and how these as well as the MSI design are subsequently influenced by both external and internal dynamics. A 22-month longitudinal study of (self)employed disabled workers (_Following the preference of the lead author who identifies as disabled, the linguistic self-presentation by our participants, the precedent of _(Hein and Ansari, Academy of Management Journal 65:749–783, 2022)_, and the clarification note included in Jammaers & Zanoni’s recent review of ableism _(Jammaers and Zanoni, Organization Studies 42:429–452, 2021)_, we chose, and consistently use, the term “disabled employees” throughout the paper. We do so to underscore the premise of the social model of (...) disability, which explains that “people are disabled first and foremost by society, not by their individual, biological impairment. To us this term most clearly highlights that it is society (and possibly organizations) that disable and oppress people with impairments, by preventing their access, integration and inclusion to all walks of life, making them ‘disabled’.” _(Jammaers and Zanoni, Organization Studies 42:429–452, 2021_: 448_)) models the growing centrality of the body in meaning-making. We inductively explain how body dramas of suffering or thriving initially instigate cycles of meaning deflation and inflation at work. Our disjunctive process model shows that, at the beginning of the pandemic, disabled workers performed either dramas of suffering or on dramas of thriving. However, as the global pandemic unfolded, disabled workers begun crafting composite dramas that deliberately juxtaposed thriving and suffering. This conjunctive process model stabilized meaning-making at work by acknowledging the duality of the disabled body, as both anomaly and asset. Our findings elaborate, and bridge, emerging theories of body work and recursive meaning-making to explain how disabled workers explicitly enroll their bodies to make meaning at work during periods of societal upheaval. Chelicerates (scorpions, horseshoe crabs, spiders, mites and ticks) are the second largest group of arthropods and are of immense importance for fundamental and applied science. They occupy a basal phylogenetic position within the phylum Arthropoda, and are of crucial significance for understanding the evolution of various arthropod lineages. Chelicerates are vectors of human diseases, such as ticks, and major agricultural pests, such as spider mites, thus this group is also of importance for both medicine and agriculture. The developmental genetics of (...) chelicerates is poorly understood and a challenge for the future progress for many aspects of chelicerate biology is the development of a model organism for this group. Toward this end, we are developing a chelicerate genetic model: the two‐spotted spider mite Tetranychus urticae. T. urticae has the smallest genome of any arthropod determined so far (75 Mbp, 60% of the size of the Drosophila genome), undergoes rapid development and is easy to maintain in the laboratory. These features make T. urticae a promising reference organism for the economically important, poorly studied and species‐rich chelicerate lineage. La formalización puede ser considerada como un proceso natural del pensamientoo de todo proceso cognitivo en la medida en que el lenguaje comúnes en sí mismo un proceso de formalización. Pero, ¿qué se puede entenderpor formalización en el marco de la física?, ¿hay una distinción de base conesos procesos comunes de formalización?, ¿es la formalización sinónimo dematematización? y ¿en qué se diferencian? Quantum mechanics raises deep questions about our conceptionof reality. In this essay we discuss a possible solution proposed by ShimonMalin in his book Nature Loves to Hide to some of these diculties. Firstlywe discuss Malin's exposition about how the quantum theory entails a deeprevision of our conception of reality, overthrowing some kinds of realism.Here, the main focus is quantum mechanics' violation of Bell's inequalities.After that, we briey present the author's proposal of a new conception ofreality grounded in some relations he (...) claims to hold between some featuresof quantum mechanics, mainly the collapse of the wave function, with thephilosophies of Plotino and A. N. Whitehead. We end our discussion pointingto some diculties in the author's approach.A mec^anica qu^antica levanta profundas quest~oes acerca de nossaconcepc~ao de realidade. Neste ensaio discutiremos uma possvel soluc~ao paraalgumas destas diculdades proposta por Shimon Malin em seu livro NatureLoves to Hide. Primeiramente discutiremos a exposic~ao de Malin sobre omodo como a teoria qu^antica acarreta uma profunda revis~ao de nossa concepc~ao da realidade, derrogando certas formas de realismo. Aqui, o principalponto centra-se no fato de a teoria violar das desigualdades de Bell. Depois,apresentaremos de modo mais breve a proposta do autor de uma novaconcepc~ao da realidade baseada em certas relac~oes que arma existir entrealgumas caractersticas da mec^anica qu^antica, principalmente o colapso dafunc~ao de onda, com as losoas de Plotino e A.
