Is It Time to Reclaim the ‘Ethics’ in Business Ethics Education?Berina Jaganjac, Line M. Abrahamsen, Torunn S. Olsen & John A. Hunnes - 2023 - Journal of Business Ethics 190 (1):1-22.
This study explores the business ethics education literature published between 1982 and 2021. A systematic literature review and bibliometric analysis of 862 scholarly articles spanning 40 years of research on business ethics education revealed a thematic shift in the literature. Whereas older articles were predominantly concerned with ethics, relatively newer articles mainly focus on addressing the broader concept of sustainability. A content analysis of the 25 most locally cited articles between 1987 and 2012 identified two main research streams: (a) integration (...)

    (Re)memorar.Adna Lusane Nunes Ferreira - 2021 - Cadernos Do Pet Filosofia 12 (24):3-12.

The Nature of Qiyās Al-Adna, Objections about It and Its Applications According to the Scholars of Uṣūl al-Fiqh.Mohammad Rachıd Aldershawi̇ - 2023 - Cumhuriyet İlahiyat Dergisi 27 (1):136-149.
This study includes an analytical study of the term "Qiyās al-Adna” among the Scholars of Uṣūl al-Fiqh. It is known that the Qiyās is divided into the following types: an analogy of higher order (Qiyās al-Awla), an analogy of an equivalent order (Qiyās al-Musawi), an analogy of a lower order (Qiyās al-Adna). However, Qiyās al-Adna raised issues and objections among some scholars, in past and present; hence, there is an urgent need to present a comprehensive study that (...)

    The Role of Ancient DNA Research in Archaeology.Stephen M. Downes - 2019 - Topoi 40 (1):285-293.
In this paper I briefly introduce work on ancient-DNA and give some examples of the impact this work has had on responses to questions in archaeology. Next, I spell out David Reich’s reasons for his optimism about the contribution aDNA research makes to archaeology. I then use Robert Chapman and Alison Wylie’s framework to offer an alternative to Reich’s view of relations between aDNA research and archaeology. Finally, I develop Steven Mithen’s point about the different questions archaeologists and (...)

Resurrecting ancient animal genomes: The extinct moa and more.Leon Huynen, Craig D. Millar & David M. Lambert - 2012 - Bioessays 34 (8):661-669.
Recently two developments have had a major impact on the field of ancient DNA (aDNA). First, new advances in DNA sequencing, in combination with improved capture/enrichment methods, have resulted in the recovery of orders of magnitude more DNA sequence data from ancient animals. Second, there has been an increase in the range of tissue types employed in aDNA. Hair in particular has proven to be very successful as a source of DNA because of its low levels of contamination (...)

Entanglements of Time, Temperature, Technology, and Place in Ancient DNA Research: The Case of the Denisovan Hominin.Venla Oikkonen - 2020 - Science, Technology, and Human Values 45 (6):1119-1141.
The study of ancient DNA has gained increasing attention in science and society as a tool for tracing hominin evolution. While aDNA research overlaps with the history of population genetics, it embodies a specific configuration of technology, temporality, temperature, and place that, this article suggests, cannot be fully unpacked with existing science and technology studies approaches to population genetics. This article explores this configuration through the 2010 discovery of the Denisovan hominin based on aDNA retrieved from a finger (...)

A Critical Approach to Views of Muhammad Hamîdullah regarding The location of Al-Aqsā Mosque.İsmail Altun - 2018 - Cumhuriyet İlahiyat Dergisi 22 (1):293-316.
According to the consencus of Muslim world, al-Aqsā Mosque is located in the land of al-Quds (Jerusalem). In this matter, especially the old Sunnite sources are in agreement with each other. However, there are recently some different views regarding the location of al-Aqsā Mosque. It has been argued that al-Aqsā Mosque most likley was built in a location differnet from Jerusalem. One of the defenders of this opinion is Muhammad Hamīdullah, who is a prominent scholar of Islamic studies and considered (...)

    Czy istnieją niezdaniowe akty mowy?Joanna Odrowąż-Sypniewska - 2016 - Studia Semiotyczne 30 (2):155-183.
