Papirløses rett til å søke arbeid. En konsekvensetisk vurdering.Lars Fr H. Svendsen - 2012 - Etikk I Praksis - Nordic Journal of Applied Ethics 2 (2):38-45.

Gunnar Breivik - 2010 - Etikk I Praksis - Nordic Journal of Applied Ethics 1 (1):39-56.

"The studies collected in this book are all concerned with aspects of the Platonic tradition, either in its own internal development in the Hellenistic age and the period of the Roman Empire, or with the influence of Platonism, in one or other of its forms, on other spiritual traditions, especially that of Christianity." The dimensions of the self: Buddhi in the bhagavad-g¯tā and psyché in plotinus: A. H. Armstrong and R. Ravindra.A. H. Armstrong - 1979 - Religious Studies 15 (3):327-342.
The Bhagavad-Gītā is the most important text in the smrti literature of India, as distinct from the śruti literature which is traditionally regarded as ultimately authoritative. The Bhagavad-Gītā has been assigned a date ranging from the fifth century B.C. to the second century B.C. The Indian religious tradition places the Gītā at the end of the third age of the present cycle of the universe and the beginning of the fourth, namely the Kali Yuga to which we belong.

Edited with New Translation by Richard McKirahan With a New Preface by Malcolm Schofield This book is a revised and expanded version of A.H. Coxon's full critical edition of the extant remains of Parmenides of Elea—the fifth-century B.C. philosopher by many considered "one of the greatest and most astonishing thinkers of all times." Coxon's presentation of the complete ancient evidence for Parmenides and his comprehensive examination of the fragments, unsurpassed to this day, have proven invaluable to our understanding of the (...)

This is the first-ever critical history of sociology in Britain, written by one of the world's leading scholars in the field. A. H. Norske kommuner i elektronisk utakt? Fra sosiale til geografiske digitale ulikheter.Knut H. Sørensen & Lucía Liste Muñoz - 2011 - Etikk I Praksis - Nordic Journal of Applied Ethics 2 (2):67-86.

Description from a book review by J. G. Beebe-Center: "Mr. Allen's book develops in detail the view that pleasure and unpleasure are essentially manifestations of the progression and thwarting of impulses. Part one is a brief summary of the principal theories of feeling. Part two is devoted to "sensory" or "bodily" pleasure and unpleasure. These forms of feeling, it is argued, 'depend on an analogue of conation existing in the organism, a nisus to maintain, or to carry out to the (...)

  32. More Than Life Itself: A Synthetic Continuation in Relational Biology.A. H. Louie - 2009 - De Gruyter.
    A. H. Louie's More Than Life Itself is an exploratory journey in relational biology, a study of life in terms of the organization of entailment relations in living systems. This book represents a synergy of the mathematical theories of categories, lattices, and modelling, and the result is a synthetic biology that provides a characterization of life. Biology extends physics. Life is not a specialization of mechanism, but an expansive generalization of it. Organisms and machines share some common features, but organisms (...)

Patrick Kermit - 2008 - Etikk I Praksis - Nordic Journal of Applied Ethics 1 (1):53-67.

    The Nature of Tragedy: A Psychological Essay: PHILOSOPHY.A. H. B. Allen - 1942 - Philosophy 17 (66):144-158.
The nature of tragedy has always been felt to be a problem, not only by the philosopher, but also, and perhaps even more, by the ordinary man. The question so often asked is: why, if there is so much suffering already in the world, do we want to go to a theatre or read a story describing more suffering? Why indeed should the spectacle of suffering ever be pleasing to us? Yet it is obvious that olarge numbers of ordinary people (...)
