The Main Gains and Meaning of Disinterment of Xi He Tan Archaeological Sites

Abstract

Jiuquan, Gansu Province, West flood Prehistoric remains of large settlements found in recent years, China one of the important achievements of archeology. The pedigree for the Hexi Corridor, the establishment of prehistoric archaeological culture, and thus a comprehensive understanding of prehistoric archaeological culture in Northwest China and the type of distribution, is of great academic value. Northwest is a unique archaeological settlement typical case. Features according to their culture, that "the flood remains of the West" concept. The discovery of large-scale and prehistorical human-settlement Xi he tan remains in Jiu quan, Gan su province is one of the most important progress in Chinese archaeology recently. It has significant values ​​to establish the system of Hexi corridor's prehistorical archaeology and to get an all-round comprehension about prehistorical archaeology's pattern and distribution in northwest regions of China. It is also a typical and rare case in the study of settlement archaeology in northwest regions of China. At the same time, according to the cultural connotation and character, the author puts forward the conception of "Xi he tan historical remains"
