An Approach to Several Issues on Russian Sinology

Abstract

The 17th century before the Russian Sinology Sinology period, and later went through three stages: the creation of the 18th century stage, half of the 19th century the nationalization phase, half of the 19th century before the October Revolution to the modern stage. Russian Sinology in the long process of development formed its own style, in which practical, official, ethnic and manuscripts, the most obvious characteristics of more than four. Russian scholar in the history of cultural exchanges between China and Russia played an important role, but the impact of changes in ideology and culture in Russia is very limited. The seventeenth century was the period of Russian Pre-Sinology. From then on it underwent three stages of development, the eighteenth century was the period of its foundation; the first half of the nineteenth century saw its nationalization; it was modernized from the second half of the nineteenth to the eve of October Revolution. In the long history of development Russian Sinology formed its own characteristics: positivistic principle, official color, nationalities and unpublished works. Russian sinologists played an important role in the history of Sino-Russian cultural communication, but it exerted a rather limited influence on the changes of Russian thoughts and culture
