Abstract

Hegel’s philosophy has an influence on China. There is a history of the Chinese reception of Hegel. This shows that he is certainly a “world philosopher.” The profound and broad thought in his philosophy has made it achieve a great actuality, thus making the study of Hegel a typically international phenomenon. In China, Hegel studies are alive and are now undergoing further development. This development is worth studying especially because Hegelianism has been a field of Chinese philosophy since the end of the 19th century, and therefore has reference to the whole spirit of this people. There can be no doubt that in the changes in contemporary Chinese philosophy the study of Hegel has never been a separate element.
